So this problem has been happening for a while now. At first I thought it was because i was running one BEC and 2 savor 1230 sg servos. the rig would be running along fine but if you weren't wide open and were just crawling around it would glitch/stop and re-arm the esc (MMP). SO…. I removed the rear steer and tried it again on another day and noticed the problem was still there. So i thought maybe the motor itself (Tekin 35t pro) was the issue by causing it to build up resistance when crawling slowly.

NOTE: the bed is installed following the wiring diagram on the back of the pack
and is turned up to 7.4v range

Today i received my commando winch parts and rebuilt my winch. I plugged up my winch and controller (HEYOK) and started to spool up my winch line. While spooling up the winch kept glitching and was causing the same style glitchingand rearming that i have been having.

My question simply is…. Where is my issue!!!!!!:evil:

EDIT: Played with it some more and now i have narrowed it down some more.

The esc glitching was the bec so i do not know what the issue was there. gonna buy a new bec and give that a try.

As far as the winch glitching goes, i have found out it only does the glitch/cut off in the one direction. i unspooled the wire in the reverse rotation and let it re rap itself back tight. so now the winch glitches in the unspool direction with no weight or force on it at all. Could this be that my nw commando winch motor is a dud and i need to get in touch with locked up rc or is my Heyok controller freaked out and i need to contact Al?

first and foremost you should shoot a pm to al and see if its anything he has dealt with before, im sure their have been similar issues before for his customers and it turned out to be the endpoints for the aux chaannel needing to be set to full max available in the radio, assuming your radio has this option.

if your endpoints are maxed out try disconnecting both servos and set the bec for a lower voltage maybe 6v and just power the winch controller from the bec and see if it works correctly, if not then try powering the winch controller just from the rx if that is possible.

silly question but always worth checking every possibility, are you positive that you bought the externally powered one from him and not the lower voltage rx powered version?

try running the winch directly from a suitable power source in both directions, if it runs fine then it will point towards more investigating towards the radio/winch controller.

if the winch controller is indeed the lower power one and you gave it some good volts then chances are that some fets/transistors got blown, ive done this a few times on the breadboard with components and often overlook it when troubleshooting.

and lastly what radio are you using, just in case it does have a known compatibility issue that others may have encountered and possibly can offer some advice on.

im currently running a mamba max pro with a tekin 35T hd and castle bec/savox servo and have no issues between them and my winch controller so more than likely its gonna be either radio or winch controller, but send al a message and try the few things above and see if you get any success of sorts to work forward from.

good luck,
tony

Thanks for the reply. My radio is a Futaba 4pl. I do believe my winch controller is the lower voltage version. It doesn't have the dean's pass connector on it that I see the newer ones come with.

I did remove the controller and winch and install it on a different rig and had the same issue. I'll contact Al and go from ther. Thanks for the help
