GM 5.3 swap into My 1976 GMC Jimmy

you will love the 5.3 motors.... my buddy put a cummings on the scale 2500lbs hahahaha that is as much as a 4 cylinder s-10

The 5.3's are WICKED motors! A turbo may not be the best idea for your application, but I have a few friends with the ls series(5.3,6.0l) motors making anywhere from 5-700HP on basically stock junk.

a buddy has a 5.3 in his truck and it does decent but the mpg sucks with a trailer on it!! ive got a 6.0L in my truck and with a supercharger pushin right under 500hp

you can make some pretty good power with a little bit of nouthing done to them!

It's hard to believe that I have had this rig for almost 4 years. I never posted anything so here I go, long story short I got this after Chip had passed and brought it to Colorado to be my wheeling rig and use it the way I think he would have had he got the chance.

I drove it from Louisiana to Colorado with the only problem was losing the fuel gauge but it made it. Just like everyone should I took it to see Red Rocks which is the cleanest it has been since I have owned it. Chip had not posted what it looked like with the Hutchinson double bead lock wheels and 36" Iroks.
