Goat Hill
Scale Adventure Challenge !
scale 8-mile timed challenge runs
"July 27th"
from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm
gates open @ 8.00 am​

GOAT HILL
7500 O'Flaherty rd, KC, MO​

8 scale miles - timed runs.
any class 1.9/2.2​

KCRC Scale rules apply.​

A predetermined course time will be figured out @ a slow to medium walking speed,
NO running !!​

NO ONE will know that time - not even the race director.
a general finishing time frame will be announced.

IE;
say the general finishing time is,
some where in-between 12 to 45 minuets is where each driver will need to finish.​

closes person to the predetermined time will win.​

finishing under or over the general set time frame,
(IE: under 12 or over 45 min),
you will be disqualified.​

so you cant be TO FAST or TO SLOW & have to watch your time !!​

make as many run as you can from 10:30 to 4:00​

everyone will run on there own clock,
with drivers starting 1 minuet apart​

no entry fee,
awards to everyone !

just a little info about Goat Hill for you guys from out of town on what kind-a terrain is there !!​

located just on the fringes of Kansas City Missouri​

Goat Hill varies a lot in vertical terrain (its a big bluff Hill side)
around 150 vertical feet or so & vary vary rocky,
normally real dry/dusty - running no water - normally !​

a real good fast walk speed is about all you can do to,
just to get your-self around GH. :twisted:​

there's only two places you can use any kind-a speed @ all !!​

the course is around 3000' long & real windy,
& yes you will get winded !!​

the fastest way around,
keep moving & off your lid.​

fast timed runs are from 10 to 15 Min's for teams.
7 to 10 Min's for single racers,
one lap !​

plenty of parking & pit areas,
some pit tables & great shade !
no fixed electricity,
but there will be a generator there for power needs,
& a fire pit for cooking food.​

local hotels available - or your welcome to stay @ my place !​

just some notes on the Goat Hill Scale Challenge.


this has been the best - most laid back - funnest event we have had @ goat hill, to date,
(from what Ive been told)
.
the GHSC is a vary low pressure,
6 hours of scaling fun with friends,
bingo game !!


with this being a (not knowing the finishing time - formated event),
anyone can WIN !!


the fastest allowed finishing time will be set some what high,
so you HAVE to watch your time & have fun.


THE GHSC was set up this way for people who may want to experience a KCRC scale event,
& not have to run around the course.


you don't have to be fast,
you don't need the best rig,
you don't need to be a experienced driver !


just fallow the trails from start to finish,
as many times as you can in 6 hours,
& try to finish as best as U can,
simple !


this event will come down to,
how many laps you can make in a 6 hour time frame & luck !!


this will better your odds.


the more runs you make - the more finishing times you have,
so you can spread out your finishing times in-between/across the lowest & highest finishing time frames,


thus - bettering your chances of hitting the unknown predetermined finish time.


most of all,
this event is just about,
having good time R/C scaling with people who enjoy the same thing,
& having fun - nothing serious !


awards will be presented to the 1st - 2ed & 3rd place closes time finishers.


with all entry's will receive a award !

20 days out now !!
been improving things @ Goat Hill RC offroad park !!
cutting some new trails just for this event.
a LOT of things being moved around,
added more pit space & pit tables,
and a good vegathion cleaning up around the parking area.


everything's looking good & will be ready to rock !!

less than a week out now guys !
looks like we may get a break in the weather saturday.
not going to worry about any rain we may get this week,
Goat Hill can take on a lot of water & still be ran fairly good.


just a little getting stuff ready this week,
& then were ready to rock !!
some new trails & other stuff have added added to GH.

Saturday july 27th.


8.00 am gates open - no sooner please !!


PLEASE drive SLOW up the main drive & in between the buildings !!​

8.00am to 10.15am check in.
10.20am drivers meeting - must attend to participate !


10.30am - Event run time starts !!
drivers will have 6 hours of open course,
to vary your mutable finishing times !!


12.00 no lunch break - event keeps running.


4.30pm event time ends !!


4.45pm best times anoused - awards handed out.
