Hey yall I think it's about time I start making some video clips....lucky for me someone left their 14MP Olympus Stylus Tough digi cam/recorder able to withstand a 5' drop and 16' WATERPROOF!

Well got some footage now of my Wraith and was wondering what's a decent video software to edit with using a low end laptop?

My tech firm gave me an MSI A6000 laptop with free 3 year warranty for personal use as we distribute them.

Specs on the laptop are:
Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.3Ghz
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
3GB RAM
320GB HDD

Basically a bare bone light duty unit. I've used Adobe Premier back in my high school days...but is there anything free out there? Lol...

Im not sure if you want something like sony vegas, but Windows Live Movie Maker is free and decent. It's basically Windows version of iMovie as far as I know.

If you are a downloader, I use Cyberlink Power Director. It's easy to use, and produces decent quality videos. Below are links to my videos on Vimeo and Youtube. I started using Vimeo once youtube started bitching about me using songs then they would mute the audio AFTER I spent all the time uploading

Is that cam HD? If so, it will work your video card pretty good. I have a decent one in my compy and it works it pretty good when I am editing.

I started on movie maker....*shudder* horrible. I lost probably close to 100 hours of editing when it decided to go belly up on me one day. The cyberlink product seems decent. Vegas turns out some good results as well.

Corel Video studio has turned out some amazing stuff I have seen. I havn't used it personally but probably would if I were still editing on windows.

Imovie for the Mac is fantastic. easy to use professional features and stable. I am making the transition to Final Cut ProX right now. It's more difficult to use but I think it will turn out better results for me.

hope this helps "thumbsup"
