I have this model and I wonder if it would be worthy of modifying into R/C have any of you braised or soldered to die cast metal?

Of course it is worth trying, but is is worth it? That is up to you. There is a lot of cage work on the interior so it could be a tight fit? What scale is that? I say if you have the desire and want to do it, then go for it.

As for brazing to diecast metal I cannot say, sorry.

prerunner

the scale is 1/24th with dimensions being 11"x5.5" and a wb of 6.5"

on the soldering question though. Is it possible to combine two dissimular metals this way? I know that solder sticks to brass tubing like a true weld, so would pot metal and brass stick?

I say you just take all the dimensions off it and make a new cage out of brass tubing, then you could solder it all together and you could solder whatever you want to it, at least thats what I would do"thumbsup"

got one of those from mexico about 5 years ago, fabtech! wow i am late for this comvo, i thought about doing the same thing, dont think you can though
