What do you recommend? Getting ready to tear it down and replace all the bearings. While I wait for the bearings to arrive I want to pickbup some grease to have on hand.

I use a blue lithium grease. Works very well. I don't stuff the diff full of it but fairly liberal spread over the grease and through the drive shafts. It's all the unexposed areas and a thin spray for the universals occasionally [emoji106]

I use red wheel bearing grease AKA lucas red and tacky... not packed full either, just a liberal amount spread out and I have not had any issues using it.

I use red wheel bearing grease on bearings and black Moly grease on axle/trans gears.

A little dab do ya. Don't use the bigger the gob, the better the job method.

I just use some Auto part Marine grease and the are waterproof. They are also lot cheaper than rc specific grease( you actually no need these ) Auto part Marlin grease can be used up( based on my usage) could be more than 5 years. ( weight base 400g )

I've got some auto grease used for ball joints, tie rod ends. Would that be good?

If it is Lithium base it is easy to wash out by waters if you play a lot in the water.

Normally, Marine grease works the best for bearings and gears.
Provides rust and corrosion protection in both fresh water and salt water environments
Effective Water Resistance
Long Lasting
Resist Extreme Pressure
Extreme Friction Reducer
;-)

I use wheel bearing grease in the axles and trans and nothing in the bearings since you have to pull a seal to do it. I just replace the bearings if they are rough

Lucas red and tacky or marine grease.
Nothing on the bearings. Just replace them after so long. Depends on if you drive in water a lot.

I usually go through my axles every other month. I keep fast Eddie bearings on hand to replace them. Red and tacky I have found to be best.
