gsxr 1000 powered bug!

gixer power is a little underrated for that thing in my opinion. maybe it's turbo and making over 250 horses. i mean it lays mean tire on the dusty roads and what not.

what's up with damn bug guys and the color choices ?

here's a link to my buddies bug he's trying to sell.

in particular is my favorite shot.

that's a 2332 CC motor build by jason leffler at VW paradise.
it's got a little mods to to it for sure. that blower is a gm 671 that has been modified by dick landy to fit an up-jetted holly 650. on pump gas with it street-able and reliable it makes 14 lbs of boost. he's got other pulley sets for it to increase the boost but it needs to run helicopter or jp style fuel. on street gas it was dyno'd at just over 350 horses... 356 i think. it hasn't been on the dyno with bigger pulley and race fuel.

he's got a sweet little notch for sale too.

Nice! Love the notch. I have a 68 bug and a 68 fastback, there is pic of my bug on my profile page. My bug is a 1776, has 041 heads, 110 cam, dual carbs. It's pretty mild...its making about 75hp.

I want to see more video on that track thing in the background..

but the bug is cool and would be fun to drive aleast for the two set'd of tire's...lol

I really like this. I feel like it would be under powered. But it still looks fun to drive. It does look like it needs jets. Smokes like a dodge diesel.

Why oh why..........did they put the engine in the front???? They should have just put New Beetle body panels on it. Or Cavalier. Or Model A. Or anything. It lost its bugness.

It's probably making 400% more HP than a stock beetle...but thats not saying much. :lmao: I bet it doesn't have any bottom end power.
