GT3B Hack Question and Answer Thread

Sorry, you can't do that.

Yes sir, you can! This works simply perfectly. And another total win for this forum! "thumbsup"

Activate 4WS mix

EPA
4
3
0
CR0

Map the 4WS mix to ST trim buttons
REV
1
4WS
BNL
100
RE0
OR0

Map CH 3 button to turn 4WS crab on/off
REV
C
4WS
MO0
RE0
PV0
OFF

The trim 1 controls < rear servo channel 3, 0 both rear ch3 and front servo ch1, > centered rear servo ch3 and front ch1 steer only.
The button on the grip for ch3 now switches the 4ws mode from crab to 4ws when active above.

PPPPERFECT!!!!

No, you can't have
1.) Front only
2.) Crab
3.) 4WS

On a single 3-way switch, like you asked.

Only way to get crab is to assign it to a different button to turn it on/off.

...

I figured you already had what the template you quoted had setup.

No, sorry. I had some of the stuff the 4ws menu allowed me to do, but nothing this good. It's so great now, though, that I have total control over the mixing of the 1st and 3rd channel, and that's what I was looking for. "thumbsup"

Great call, I put it into the steering channel and it works with zero issue. I just need to know exactly how to set up this 3rd channel.
Thanks for all the help

This should help:

Enable multi position switch
E.POINT long press ENTER – this goes into special functions menu
Scroll to p1 set it to 3. It will then go to the next menu where you set the values you
-100, 0, 100, END
Hit end button to go back to main screen

Map multi position switch to a trim.
REV long press ENTER
Scroll to the trim you want set it to MP1
Set it to MO (momentary)
OFF
Hit end button to go back to main screen
Press ENTER to finish

When you hit the trim backwards you'll reverse the winch, let go and it stops, press forward button, winch will go out, let go it stops.

Hey if I map my settering like that.
Trim 1 controls: front only and front/rear steering
Ch3 button controls: Crab on/off
....
Can I use the trim 3 controls for Dig on dual ESC's on ch 2 and ch4?
And can I use the trim 2 controls for on/off electric switches? For ch5 and ch6.
If I was to do that how could I control ch7, ch8, and ch9?

Any idea why my servo winch won't keep it's neutral point when I power up my rig? If I redo the settings on my controller it's fine, but as soon as I switch off then switch it all back on again it creeps one way or another.

Is there a way to trim Ch3 to stop this? (I have theCh3 trim switches as my winch controllers.

Can I stop it by increasing the dead band setting in the controller menu?

The servo winch is a modded Ace DS1015.
It would be nice, but it doesn't work that way.
I'm afraid you are trying to solve the problem from the wrong end. The servo amplifier has a lot of gain and any small change in temperature or voltage or if you even look at it funny will upset the balance of the circuit and the motor willl start to turn. When you get frustrated dealing with this, consider using a winch controller to to replace the circuit board in your servo winch.

Got you, looks like I'm tearing my recovery truck bed apart to get it out then.

Thanks for the info.

i have installed everything on my gt3c but can get into the clabration part now my throttle does not work any i deal why

I am having a winch control problem and I was hoping that someone could help me out. I remember seeing a fix for this problem on this thread from a few months ago, but I cannot find it again.

I am running a hacked gt3c with version 6.1. I have a heyok winch controller and I currently have my winch setup on the third channel. Everything works great as long as the radio is on or in range. Once the radio is off or out of range, the winch starts to spool in. I have a servo winch and i tore off my front bumper today as I was walking around a large bunch of boulders because my radio went out of range. It was actually quite impressive because it sheared off three bolts. I have snapped 65 lb test line before when I wasn't careful....

My current setup is:

REV - Long press
d CH3
BMO
RE0
PV0

thanks in advance for any help

Having a problem downloading the firmware 0.-6.-1. is it a man. file? For some reason I can't open the file, I get a pop up to select what file I want to use to open it. Not sure what I'm doing wrong or what I need to do...... I tried putting it on my desk top and it still won't open. About to take the B.F.H. approach....... Running Windows 7, I have a option to download a file format convertor, do I need to do that. The mechanical aspect of the RC's is great but this Hacking and programming is driving me Bat crazy...

Forgive me but I just got a FS-GT3C. Will any of this help me?

I want to operate a DIG off my third channel. First click gives full time 4wd, second click allows the rears to free wheel and finally third the rears lock up. I know I am hoing to have to hack it to make it do this.

I just hacked my gt3c and I noticed that I can run any of my previously bound vehicles on any model. It doesn't matter if I bound it to that model or not it works on any one I choose. Is that normal? Is there a way to correct that? I guess it doesn't matter, if my settings stay on that model. I don't plan on running more than one at the same time I just found it weird. Thanks

Receivers are bound to transmitters. What model that is loaded into that transmitter isn't known by the receiver.
