GT3B Hack Question and Answer Thread

In the normal GT3b/C the aux channel works when its pluged on the channel 3 of the receiver, my dout is now that I hacked it, for a 6 channel will it work on the 3 channel of the receiver our do I have to programme it on the radio to work?

You will program the radio for what you want it to do. If you want 6 channel, you program the radio with 6 channel firmware and need a 6 channel RX.

After flashing, it's setup for 2 channel by default. After that, you program the functions you want and what buttons are assigned to them.

Thank you ik632 for that information, I thouth that is had the 3 channel as default, yesterday I just program it with 6 channel since I have a 6 channel receiver.

In that case to activate the 3ch the one on below, do I have to activate as MOM to be as it was before the hack?

What is the easiest way to set up my hacked GT3C to run a 3Racing winch using their factory controller? Thanks

hi there every one...so newbie and thanx Losikid... im hacked my GT3C...
but the problem is i cannot bind with FS-R6B Rx...try all the technic found here...hope some one can tell me what to do.

Hey guys I'm sure its in this thread somewhere but if you could help me out a bit it would be awesome. I am using the D/R switch for a 2-speed TWH trans on my bouncer. I have it working on the D/R switch but I cant seem to get rid of the "neutral". What setting do I use to make it a 2 position? Flip it back and the servo goes to one epa, flip of forward and it goes to the other.

Thanks

If you're using channel 3, change it to a multi position with only 2 positions. Then set the D/R trim to channel 3. Press one way will be the first setting and press the other way will be the second setting. Nice thing is you can adjust that value so servo is perfect for 2 speed tranny.

Template:
Channel 3 with 2 positions
Channel 3 button cycles between values (C button)

Enable multi position switch
E.POINT long press ENTER – this goes into special functions menu
Scroll to p1 set it to 3. It will then go to the next menu where you set the values you
plan to use. Scroll to each value, then hit enter, when done pick end.
-100, 100, END
Hit end button to go back to main screen
Map multi position switch to C button.
REV long press ENTER
Scroll to C set it to MP1
OFF
Hit end button to go back to main screen
Press ENTER to finish

If it's 2 position using -100 and 100, follow my instructions above for transmission. You can change the button assignment to a trim, and that would be:

Assign DIG to the CH3 Trim Switch with a momentary action
Scroll to REV, LONG enter
Scroll to 3, enter
Scroll to BMO, enter
Scroll to RE0, enter
Scroll to PV1, LONG enter
Press back/end a few times to get back to main

Bind
  1. Bind plug into the very last channel (it's not really a channel, but for battery and bind).
  2. ESC into channel 2
  3. Power on car, make sure motor isn't plugged in.
  4. Receiver will flash
  5. Press and hold bind on radio, turn it on.
  6. Flashing will stop, let go of bind button
  7. Turn off car and unplug bind plug
  8. Turn off radio

Test:
  1. turn on radio
  2. turn on car
  3. You should be bound

The original programming wasn't momentary, it was -100, 100 and when you'd press the button it would toggle between them. What do you want it to do?

IK632

Thanks but I can't use Ch3. My current configuration is:

Ch1 front steering
Ch2 esc
Ch3 rear steering
Ch4 2-speed trans

Ch3 and Ch3TRIM buttons are used together for rear steer mixing so all I have is the D/R switch to use. I guess I could use the back and end buttons if I absolutely have to but I'd like to just use the D/R button if its possible

Still cannot bind..!!! Argh!!!

1. Plug bind cable
2. Plug esc to channel 2
3. On car/esc - rx start blinking
4. Push n hold bind button then on radio-
Still blinking ...nothing happen

you have to turn the tx off then hold bind while turning it on.

I got two new rx from overkillrc that won't bind, they are brand new. I have others that bind, I think I got a bad batch
