GT3B Hack Question and Answer Thread

Start over, unplug everything, restart the computer

Plug in the radio to the programmer
Plug the programmer into the computer
Open STVP
Open the firmware file
press program --> Current tab


It's supposed to be beeping...
 
Just did that. I had a beeping and a blinking green light on the programer.

Now I get the same message and a red light appeared on the programer near where the usb cable plugs into the programer.

No beaping on the radio. LCD went out
 
I'm having a hard time believing you got the same message but was able to program it....

Sounds like you forgot to open up the firmware file and programmed a bunch of zeros to the radio (so it's not gonna turn on)

Do the whole procedure again but make sure to open the .s19 firmware file once you're inside STVP

And make sure the STVP patch was installed.
 
I loaded the firmware from my HD and was able to pull it off my personal radio. Strange that I can not write it to this new radio
 
I loaded the firmware and my remote stopped beeping and now I got nothing. It is all zeros on the program what did I do wrong
 
Ok read that but after I go to file then open you say choose .s19 but which one their a whole bunch of them with s19. Thanks for the quick response
 
Anyone know of a tutorial on moving the gt3c power button? Searched this thread as well as the Google's. Only finding vids showing the issue or vids of after the fix.

Newer versions I've heard are fixed and have no issues.

It's as easy as opening up and cutting the wires, adding a small switch behind wheel. Should be some pics around of it installed. It's an easy mod.
 
i can open your link using stvp but it just opens the program still with all zeros as if nothing was programmed. so as of rite now i cant turn my remote on.
