I know I'm going to sound like a dick, but since you asked. I think it looks really bad. The body is ok, if that's what you're in to, but it needs to be lowered by at least 2 or 3 inches. All the exposed electronics, battery, etc. really take away from the look.

It's a great idea man, and could look really good with some work. But since you asked ;-)

I agree with both of the "constructive" posts, you've got to find a way to modify that body to fit down on the frame rails. Plus the "real" Warthog has that crazy four wheel swing arm stuff goin on so a four wheel independent suspension rig would be a much better choice to make it look more "scale".

It looks as if the body is just sitting on top, you might want to secure it before its maiden voyage. The flatirons look new.

sorry dude I have to agree with the rest, it's ugly, lower the body some and see if it makes a difference, sorry bud you want opinions and you got it....

x2 mount everything inside the body like a model or make a chassis to fit everything

thanks for all the suggestions as now it is sitting on the stock body pins i am definitely going try to find a way to lower it and suggestions on how would be great

I think the body would look great on a mini rock crawler cause it looks like the wheel base is off alittle too. But I like the idea.

i would cut out as much as possible to have the body sit on the frame then make some mounts that would attach to the body looks like it would look badazz once the body sits on the chassis ,also loose the spidey and find another driver.jm2cents.

yeah thanks i will give it a try i am also going to get a halo figurine the spider mans was just a test

if there not to expenseve buy another warhog and destroy one by cutting out everything underneth and if it doesnt work take the second one like a model on a micro and mount everything inside it. or you could just put it on a mini with the l-trail chassis

well they cost about 60 -70 bucks i have taken the bottom of it out so all thats left inside is the interior and outer frame and it still dosent fit right

I think its a good idea and I have always liked the look of the warthog..If you would make some shorter links and maybe install some of the electronics in the cargo area where the gunner stands you could lower it some more? Also get us some close up shots so we can get a better view to help you figure out where to make changes..

To really get it at the right height while keeping the interior, you're going to need to do some significant changes to the rest of the truck. You'll want to move the motor up under the hood, hook it up to a gear reduction unit, and run it to a t-case underneath the interior. You'll also need to ditch the stock electronics in order to run lipos (smaller and lighter weight) and new smaller electronics with lipo cutoff. I'd also chop off those stock bumpers, they'll only get in your way. I'm willing to bet there's probably more material underneath the body that could be trimmed back.

It can be done, it's just a matter of how badly you want to do it, but you're definitely looking at spending quite a bit more to get it at the right height. If you don't want to do these modifications, you can either run it at the existing height or choose a different body that covers up the electronics (Proline used to make a warthog lexan body, you can probably still find one if you like the looks).

well for now the scx10 it staying the way it is a it fits my new bright lr3 body and i have a nikko h2 hummer body on the way so the warthog is going to wait till i find a better chassis for it or someone in australia who could make one to fit the wharthog
