happymachinist MRC PRO Build

My chaotic will be at the first comp of next season for sure. I have alot of reading to do here and in other threads. I basically feel I need to solve every problem that needed solved with my first berg. Alot of work! Loving this truck for sure!

Im just stoked it all went to a good home. I miss that little turd but Im glad to see her livin & crawlin.

I actually have a small collection of random MRC parts going if ya want em. I know theres a case & some other little parts. Im sure there'll be more as my shop cleaning continues. Let me know if ya want it.

If that offer is up to anyone, I'm sure there will be something we need. The little lady and I will be sharing a 1.9 and sporty at the start of next season. I had big plans to have 2 of each and I may be close, however some medical issues are slowing that plan to a halt. The chaotic has to be ready for spring for sure. I believe Troy has committed to the xr mod for us. Beyond that, it's a matter of little things. The guys on this forum are so crazy helpful! I'm glad y'all are here.

Sorry I just caught this...I've got a healthy enough stash of spares, hook your buds up with them. Or put them up on the classifieds if you want.

Thanks man

Just wanted to add a few pics from a day of crawling down at the lake. Since my phone took a swim with me the other day I figured now would be a good time to upload a little higher quality photos from my camera"thumbsup"

Well I've been doing a little tinkering with my chaotic...mainly due to the fact that I'm pretty sure my B1R is fried in my pro.

But any who I wanted to do some more in depth tuning with how much weight I prefer on my Chaotic.

Soooo I set my sights on lightening up a set of VP rims I acquired from HARDKNOCKZ. I also narrowed the fronts 1/8" while I was at it.

I know it sounds funny to lighten wheels that are made to be weighted but I honestly like the looks of these wheels with no weights installed and the more testing I do, I really prefer the lightest drivetrain I can get. So my thoughts are to gradually add weight using the modular weights that came with the wheels, find a happy spot and make knuckle weights that weigh the same and get that weight off my wheels yada yada yada.

So pics or it didn't happen right ;)

And about the time I got these wheels rigged up and ready for testing a got a sweet little package in the mail.

That's right!! A carbon fiber servo guard from Custom Fiber. Fit and finish is top notch. Also IMO it matches the theme of this little truck and looks bad ass.

I highly recommend, its a lot lighter than the bulky aluminum guard I made on my pro. Don't know if I'm a good enough of a driver to really notice the difference but we all know how warm and fuzzy a guy feels when he shaves weight or gets new cf or ti tidbits for his truck.

Here's how she sits at the moment. Going from the lighter delrin wheels to the VPs made more lines possible...and a few weights in the front made it feel better yet...
