I've calibrated dozens of different ESCs to many different radios but I can't crack this one. Does anyone have experience with this esc? I don't know how to interpret the tones to see if they are telling me error codes.

I haven't played with deadband setting yet but I've found that is rarely necessary.

Advice is welcome.

did ya try playing with the trim it might see neutral differently than the radio

I have the trim zeroed but I can give it a shot.

I hope I can figure this out and that it isn't a defective esc. Plus I have 2 more in the mail for other projects.

No joy. Trimmed it both directions around zero and still not able to get the throttle calibrated.

I'm searching the web but not finding any manuals or videos dealing with this issue.

Ok. Dug through more comments on YouTube videos and found something that works. The mt4 has a throttle option for either 70/30 fwd/rev or 50/50. It defaults to 70:30 which was causing the issue. When I set it to 50/50 I still can't do a throttle calibration but the esc on startup works fine.

Have you tried to use the transmitter to find neutral? Give it a bit of throttle, or reverse. My 1st gen castle esc's sometimes had an issue with calibration.

Since the calibration sequence starts with full throttle maybe I could set the endpoint above or below 100% to fool it? Effectively put an offset in the calibration as if neutral was off center?
