OK i googled it and no luck.. Im trying to redo my moms toshbia laptop. It has windows vista and did not come with a windows disk new. So the qustion is How do you make a windows reinstall disk I know how to do it with win7. But cant find it on win vista thanks for any and all help

with the toshiba you should have a option to choose when u start the laptop to either go to the dos or to do the system set up that is if you have not deleted the partition that was on the laptop when you got it

yeah ,little more information required, like does it open to windows, or has it just got a pretty windows sticker on the case?

Had to replace my hard drive. I just ordered the discs from Toshiba. It was around 30 bucks.

The HD on my Dell laptop dumped within warranty, when I called them they sent the disks free of charge. Granted I had to install the harddrive myself and load windows back on and all the drivers. I won't buy a dell again. I didn't know I was buying a parts only warranty

several companies will do that its only one of several reasons to buy the extended warranty. also external hard drives are your friend.
