HH cobalt 7t puller

Unless I'm missing something here, wouldn't that motor be the opposite of what anyone would normally want in a 2.2 rock crawler?

With brushed motors, lower turns = higher RPM, lower torque

A 55 turn motor seems to be pretty standard for 2.2 crawlers.

Your right about the lower turns = a faster motor. BUT,the pullers have 7 slot arms as to where your 55t has 3."thumbsup" The pullers also have a longer arm,so they spool up faster than a regular arm. With the cobalt magnets and HUGE comm and brushes, they have SUPER control on the bottom with a butt load of torque.

Bottom end power/torque,they'll chew up a 55t,spit it out and not break a sweat.

Speed wise, they have plenty of zip to jump big gaps and bump up big ledges with ease.

Personally,I prefer the 10t pullers. A touch slower than the 7t pullers, but they'll handle higher voltage and have more bottom end power."thumbsup"

If you go with a puller, add beef. They like to break things.

I put one in recently but I'm only running 7.2V and the stock pinion. So far it's been very torquy, easy to control the low end, and good top end wheel speed, but then my 27T motor was similar too.

I'm going to try different pinion sizes to regain some wheel speed, but I'm currently waiting for unrelated parts. I'll also probably try 3C lipo this winter, this is supposed to really 'light them up'
