Howdy, I recently bought a Hitec X2 Ultima Dual charger. After I had set all the charging/discharging parameters I discharged a fairly new 3s 3000 pack (while connected to a balance board) I checked back in to find one cell was down to 2.79v and the others hovering around 3.4v. I terminated the cycle and recharged with the "storage mode" up to 3.8v.

Shouldn't the charger be monitoring the cell voltage?

Also, is there any reason to discharge a lipo below a storage voltage if it hasn't already been run down below that? (I think I already know the answer....)

Thanks!

Never mind, heard back from Hitec and it does not balance in discharge mode, only in storage mode.
