Anyone bought/tried/tested one of these yet? Just saw them today and am wondering how they stack up to say a triton eq or similar.

Thanks,

Eric

Thanks smarta@@! again, there really isn't any feedback in that thread, therefore I posted a new one. I know how to use the search button!!"thumbsup"

It's going to be similar to 4 Triton EQ , or even closer to 4 of the chinese 50 watt chargers in 1 case. I believe the interface is exactly the same as all the 50 watts. Any charger can do any number of packs , but this allows 4 "different" packs to be done. My choice would be 4 seperate 50 watt chargers.

It's the exact same charger as the Hobby City Quattro. Basically, a re-bagged charger. The airplane community has been using it for almost a year and the over all ratings have been very good.

It's strengths AND limitations rest in it's ability to charge 4 batteries at the same time on separate channels. If you were to charge 4 batteries at the same time OVER roughly 11.1v 2500mah, it would bog down and take a bit longer to complete. However, below that, it's working good. For crawler batteries in the 1500mah and below range, it would work great.

Now, that said.... if you can wait, www.hobbypartz.com carries the exact same charger with a different sticker on it for $99 shipped. They are currently out of stock. If you can, $50 difference for a different set of stickers makes it worth the wait (to me anyway).

I sent you a PM with additional info. You will also need the balance boards for the charger. It only comes with one. You'll need another 3. They are around $3 a piece from Hobby City.

Hope that helps you out.
