is it possible to build a good hg r/c rock crawler for under $200 I have no experience with building any r/c's all help greatly appreciated

thats a really tight budget but your in luck the wheelie king 4x4 is right in your price range and if you can make some suspension links you will have a very capable crawler.
their is a how to on making links with brake line just search it out.
and you will need a lower turn motor like a lathe motor 55t

Oh I thought you found one. I think that tlt kits if youy can find them are less than $200. The traxxas stampede while being under $200 it isn't 4wd and it's kinda expensive and time consuming(from what I'v heard) to do.

wheely king is gonna be your best bet, everything in the box including the battery! you will have to change a few things but its the easiest way to start right now.

if you use a tlt even if you find the kit cheap, there is alot you have to do to it and still get
suck as:
esc
motor
radio
receiver
thats just to get it going
to make it good:
chassis
tranny
shocks
tire wheels (stock ones are good for nothin)
etc.
get the point?

WK will get you going for sure. Lock the diffs, extend the wheelbase, upgrade electronics and tires, and you have one capable rig.
