I recently bought a truck off of ebay and it came with the xr8 sct esc and a hobbywing multifunction lcd program box. I watched a few tutorials on youtube,But for some reason I cant get it to connect to the esc?
I tried updating to both versions on the program card,I tried turning it on before and after connected to the lcd box. The box seems to work as a voltage reader, connects to pc fine, lights up etc..But it says its going to connect to the esc and never does?
I never owned any hobbywing stuff,So if you are familiar with this, let me know if im doing something wrong!

I just been removing the servo lead wire from the rx and plugging it into the box,Then plugging up power to the esc. The box lights up,,says the version,,I get one green blink then blinks red on the esc. I say ok on the box and it says connecting to esc.... The light goes out on the esc,,and thats all I get. Any help? Thanks!

You have to plug the box into the fan connection, that is the programming port.

This!

People often don't realize that HobbyWing ESCs are different in terms of programming. HobbyWing's method is much better because you don't have to open the receiver box.

Thank you all! That was it,I had it plugged into the esc lead on and not the fan port! Worked great! lol,and have to say im glad,as I was getting pretty frustrated undoing like 8 screws to remove the bottom skid plate then another 3 to get to the rx. lol,,Much easier Now! Thanks again!
