Homemade Snowblower

Hey that came out really awesome, and it throws a nice roost, so it's obviously a sound design that is working well. I agree that it did sound a little under powered, and bogging down. What was bogging, the auger motor, or the impeller motor? Perhaps a larger motor for either one will give you that extra torque it needs. "thumbsup""thumbsup"

Awesome work

I plan to up the voltage and give it another shot possibly this weekend, ive only ran it on 6v so far. I need to swap servos in my jeep because the cheap mg995 servo went..

I used Google images to find the label I wanted, used some Avery brand, sticky, blank, address label sized paper. ("Laser Labels") Then MS Word has a template specifically for printing address labels so uploaded that. Pasted the label images and printed with a regular printer. They look glossy because I used a clear coat over the entire blower. It also waterproofed them and made them more permanent.

I also make scale stick on license plates this way. There is a generator that you can type in what ever you want it to say, choose the state, and Ta-Da! They are a nice touch to any Rig. "thumbsup"
ACME License Maker

Thank you for this tip. I've been wanting to make a personalized license plate. And nice work on the snow blower. "thumbsup"

Lol that thing can blow some snow. Looks like its working great now, especially with the winch lift. How deep of snow have you tried it in? Looks like you could cut a path through 3-4 inches without a problem.

Yea, watch for this next video I take on a mountain! I even stall the auger because im trigger happy! And the snow was a little more packed because I shoved it on to the porch. With it now running at 6.4V instead of 6V it does a lot better! I'm amazed at what .4 volts can do!

this blower is working like a champ. any closeup pics of how you have set up the winch for raising/lowering the blower? that is the one thing i've been trying to work out on mine.

Yes. I can post some pics tonight. I have a small slightly bent open eye hook into the impeller housing. I have winch cable go out the fairlead, through the eye hook, and up to a d ring in the front bumper. I was planning on having it hook to straight to the eye hook but the hook gets stuck in the fair lead before it's all the way raised.

This is how I was planning, but my hook gets into the fairlead at a quarter inch off the ground.

Now it's like this. More leverage and control.

And it goes all the way up without the hook getting in the way.
