I want to know where running & driving rig with 5k in top notch suspension is at for $2500. Then let's follow this pipe dream up with $10k to spend upgrading it and then find someone to appraise it for kbb high book so I can buy it for less than 1/3 market value. That'd be sweet if it wasn't a dream! Oh wait... :lmao:
I enjoyed that whole series, they did get the rigs built with pretty much the equipment that anyone might have in their own garage. Even though I'm not a ferd fan, I thought that the explorer worked better. Did anyone else notice the axle on the jerp bend like a soft pretzel? The last shot with the rigs parked after the race showed the gear oil running out of the axle tube.
Dana 30s will bleed out the axle tube straight off the showroom floor when tipped. The seals are so bad the aftermarket makes a double o ringed insert with a triple lip seal for the end of the tube.
I thought it was brake fluid. Didn't look thick. I'm within the budget for my dream build with my J10 but, waaaay over on that time frame. Over a decade, and I'm still working on it.
I thought they did a great job with the series, theres just so many cringe worthy videos in the automotive realm (mostly TV) but this series was really good. No fake drama or boring judging or recap at the start of every episode.
I look forward to the next series, I was thinking a FWD off road challenge would be entertaining, silly but entertaining.
