I don't typically do build threads but with comp crawling going the way of our rights, I figured I'd do my part to help keep it alive.
I'm swapping out my XR axles to try out something different. I was going to go back to berg's then I came across these b2's in the classifieds and jumped on them.
Since I use to have a super bully my main concern with the b2's is the cvd's.
The axles I picked up are new so I tore them down and replaced the bearings and used blue loctite on all the screws. The cvd's were very sloppy and there's a few places where daylight can be seen through the cases, not that big of a deal but not ideal. So far I'm satisfied with the b2's for what money I spent.
Im 95% sure I can make wraith uni's work with the stock knuckles. I'm just saint on a few things before this can be verified.
I'll be using my YTC Double Agent with Brood power.
So it begins.

Links off of the xr. Puts me about 1/4" long so they need a lil fine tuning but she's comin along.

Nice, take a look at Rowdys build as he's running the same chassis. I look forward to your wraith uni mod.

This may be the future of these axles. I have been staring at mine and thinking of giving it a go. Or waiting to see what calderwood comes up with on the buggy unis, which I know will be stout.

I'll have a similar build coming up soon. With the DA and all, just had another surprise rig that got in the way. Looks good so far and I'll be watching this one"thumbsup""thumbsup"

Thanks and I'll try and keep it updated.

I decided to move the servo up flush with the bottom of the axle tube and over towards the case. I'm pretty sure this is nothing new but here's the start of it.
The hacked stock servo mount and cut down a piece of delrin.

I have been checking out these axles. I saw Rowdys broken CVD's. Looks like the weak link. I would be great if you got the Wraith universals to work. Good luck! Maybe the knuckles from Dlux might work?
Matt

Matt,
There's a thread, I believe it's called Dlux Bully where I saw a pic of a Dlux knuckle on one side of a axle. I haven't been back to see if the guy made it work.

Glad to see you getting it done, great build. LMK when it's practice day I'll meet up with you.

Servo mount mods done. Here's a few pics.
It's hard to see in the last pic but the servo is touching the axle tube mounting screws.

Is part of the upper link mount cut away? In one of the pics it looks like it was notched out for the servo. If it is you had better buy an extra mount to carry along. I have already seen 2 of unmolested ones bend.
