Just an f.y.i for anyone considering buying a Hot Racing skid plate for your Wraith. It looks really cool but.......it interferes really bad with the compression of the front suspension:cry: That's probably why I don't see anyone running with one the Wraith picture archive. Just another one of my newbie mistakes. Once again I am new here so I hope this is posted in the right place. Maybe skid plate is not the right term.

Thanks for the warning. I saw those at a hobby shop but thought for the price.....NO WAY!! Glad I said nope! :)

Thanks I will check out the top cad and send pictures as soon as figure out how. New to this site and am still trying to figure some things out.

Why are you guys wanting to replace the skid? I have beat the hell out of my Wraith and the skid is holding up perfectly fine.

BTW, for the most part, Hot Racing sells crap.....crap that doesn't fit, crap that breaks in 5 minutes and they provide crap for customer service.

I run the GH aluminum skid plate on my wraith. Fit and function is dead on. I mainly got the aluminum skid plate for the 8 screws that hold the chassis to the skid plate. Those 8 screws are seeing a lot of action, since you have to drop the skid plate a lot to do any work on it. I figured the aluminum threads would last longer than screwing into plastic over and over again.

The downside to the aluminum skid is the weight. It's a bit heavier than the stock plastic skid. I don't know what the actual numbers are, didn't weigh them.
