House's Generic Ti-Fighter

Decided to try a couple minor changes like chassis cab, shocks, motors, ESC's, servo, wheels, weights, etc... LOL
Liking it so far!
Felt good to get on the rocks yesterday, it's been almost 5 months!

So this happened at the DLux Rumble On The Rocks this last weekend.

I need to get back to work making some new tubes that take a VP c-hub instead of unobtanium ones.

Still managed to get 8th in 2.2m which I am happy with considering the level of competitors present, but really wish I could have made Top 5.

Here are a couple more pics of the current setup on the rocks:

I didn't seem to have any issues directly related to running smaller OD tires than others,
and I really like the stable feeling of these, so I may stick with them for a while
and see how it goes...

This is what I'm waiting for on the super to happen. Time to become unlazy and work on tubes. Got a special die made up for them threads if that'll help ya out when you get tubes made.

Thanks
About 2.5 hours away.
You should come to one of our comps and hang out.
With a little advance notice we could even have a loaner car for you to drive, Shafty or Modified!

Ouch! Sorry to see that House. Serious design flaw, not your fault. Chubs will be better...or you can be a from-billet-knucklehead like me and suffer through making a set of one piece units. A ton of work but you'll never have issues after that.

Look forward to seeing your solution.

Quite a few options at this point, but I have narrowed it down to these for this round:
Ti two piece, splined outer
7075 one piece, splined outer
7075 one piece, keyed outer

Just toss that thing at John this weekend and tell him you want your money back. lol

With all these new D_Lux Berg parts running around and Joel working on his again I better get off my rear.
Finally looked into it and it looks like I can machine the .5mm threads with some gear swapping. Yay.
Time to make some more chips....
