How do you pay for your hobby (or obsession)?

I run an lucrative underground used sex toy trading operation with the chinexican mullitia. They pay in Korean dollars from the city of gangnam and support my Chinese fortune cookie foot fetish that I just recently got out of rehab for. Hahaha

Seriously little each paycheck till I save up.

Lmao do you need a business partner I've had this same business concept running around in my head for years

I buy little bits here and there, and hate like hell when I have to spend over $100 for something. I pay cash if I'm at an actual store and PP if I'm online.

I also typically won't buy something I can make, even if I takes me a few hours to create what would be a $10 part.

Becoming a vendor helped to feed my hobby, and most of what I make doing that gets spent right back into the RCC community. It's certainly not making me rich, but it does give me a little bit of cash to play with that I wouldn't ordinarily have.

@Elbandito... I agree, with you 100% about living within your means and purchasing only what you can afford and saving up for wants. We to teach this to our children (which everyone NEEDS to do) but........

Here's a tip: Credit cards can earn you FREE $ to support your hobby! Many banks offer Rewards credit cards.. For every dollar you spend you get a point. So.... Once you are free of debt and not living paycheck to paycheck so much anymore. Get a Rewards Visa. Use it for ALL of your monthly bills (electric, gas, groceries, even Rent.. EVERYTHING) basically you should already have the $ to pay those things in your checking account (your just using the rewards card as a middle man). Go to your online bank account and transfer the $ from your checking back to the Visa IMMEDIATELY, or before the end of the month at least (the idea is NEVER pay interest) You can use your rewards points for a lot of junk, or flyer miles..... Most importantly... Visa gift cards. Let's just say we stack up enough rewards points by doing this that we get a $250.00 Visa gift card every 6 months. That's $500.00 a year FREE, paying no interest. Additionally it will help your credit score by keeping the account in good standing. For me that $500.00 goes to a couple new RC cars.

Disability benefits and tax refund...for those that don't know,Disability Benefits means I paid into it for 21 years (4 of those during the Gulf War and after in the ARMY,and yes I went over) and I sustained on the job injuries making me "unable to be reasonably expected to have the physical ability to hold onto gainful employment consistantly enough to continue to support myself due to on the job spinal injuries sustained in 2001"-I worked until forced out of work in 2008-which means I do have good days (when I enjoy cycling),and bad (when I can hardly walk with a cane....C3 puts pressure on the spinal chord,so major issues really are very random and can't be predicted)....I explain this only because some people automatically assume Disability is the same as SSI,which pays little and is for peole that have not worked or paid into the system (for whatever reason...born with disabilities/illness,mentally uncapable of work,etc...or just plain sorry-assed,which does happen),huge differance,LOL!

Bigger buys are made by either selling things of mine on eBay (which is basically like bartering,as I sell one hobby thing to finance another-for eg,the 2 rigs in my sig were financed by selling some nice mtn bike parts and a frame),or tax refund time (my income isn't taxed, but the wife's is ;) ),for small buys,I just save a little here and there. Always use debit card in person,Paypal if online. :)

i take candy away from diabetic's and give it to kids, who later become diabetic's...

oh wait..
how do i PAY for my hobby..

i sell my body to science each day...
testing different rubbing compounds..

I use my debit card I hate credit card companies, every charge cost the company you spent with 3% and everyone who is late they charge its a win win for the card company, all they do is take advantage of people who want more. I run a roofing company and make enough to buy what I want, but wont support if I don't have to.

if i told you i'd have to kill you:ror:

i work.. but with money not flowing these days i try to sell something im not useing to get new stuff

I work very hard at my job, and try to earn as much extra income by buying and selling things on craigslsit..

and also, teaming up with Harley, to provide the Screw Kits, was a great thing! :-)
