I just made a tube chassi bully, and Im still running a NiMH 6 pack, integy 55t's and my truck seems to be EXTREMELY heavy @ 8.6 Lbs. Is this overload? What does your truck weigh? and how much better is the preformance and wight of a LiPo???

with SPI wheels, (double weights up front and single rear) Im at just under 7#

(Keep in mind have have Gen 1 machined axles)

ARTR is 8 lbs with Low boyz wheels.

You can always run some delrin wheels to cut down on the weight.

There are also some very nice delrin chassis out there too that will cut weight.

The Gen 2 molded axles are heavy, but they are low on the rig. The good thing now is with the V4 XVD's these axles are doing great. There are some guys still running V3 without issue.

Holy shit...

5lb 10 oz @ the start gate with a HERO berg.

When i had bullys i was 7lbs 8 3/8 oz

Well I guess im not as heavy a I thought compared to whats out there. Thanks for all the replies guys. I would expect a clod super to weigh about that much with being plastic housings and all, but I wasnt sure if my 2.2 should be up there. I would do a TVP delrin chassi, but I enjoy building tubers too much. Im really just a bit dissappointed in my sidehilling and thought my weight was the issue, but I am running old compound rc4wd stompers and they dont tend to grip that well. I think some softer compund proline rubber with nicely mated foams would help me out there...

Ive also been looking around at LiPo batteries and I just dont know where to begin with these things... It seems like everyone out there is running something alittle different. Im trying to find a good budget battery and charger for my rig that would give me the equivalence or better of a 3200mAh 7.2 c-cell pack, any suggestions?

i'm at just over 7 lbs, with 6 oz. in each front wheel and none in the rears plus battery and everything else. i run the beetle juice chassis. it does seem heavy but the weight is very low on the chassis not much above the wheels.

i would just look around and see what people are running.anything lipo that you get should have the measurements so just find one that fits and has the voltage and current that you want.

Im running EC power 1500mah 3s 20c packs in mine, plenty of power and 45min run times. They are also very compact and $22 for 2 shipped.

Wow, I never weighed mine til now but i"m at 8 lbs. And everything is delrin except the axles themselves... now to figure out how to shed some poundage!

My bully with B2 axles is Right at 8lbs READY TO RUN(1500 3s Lipo)
should come down a little once I get my Delrin wheels...
