I searched for awhile and couldn't find anything on this, but there has to be something posted somewhere about it I would think..

I need/want to lengthen my pede sliders so I can get a longer wheelbase out of my TLT. I have an idea of how to do it, but wanted to know what others have done before I go cutting and gluing up some sliders. Pics would be great!

Thanks!!

how far do you want to stretch your wheelbase? i run stock stampede sliders with a wheelbase that measures 12.5 inches from axle nut to axle nut. that's probably as far as you would want to stretch your wheelbase.

it's easy just use two females and glue a male into one of them. I glued about a 1/2" into one female and then drilled a hole thru them both and then used a the long maxx style (pede sized) set screw. And my drive shaft length is 5" output to output with a 1/4" of compression.

Oh and I added a 1/4" of extra female to the glued & screwed male side.

gregrocks: My wheelbase is at 11" now and the sliders are getting very close to maxing out. I forgot to mention I was running a Bulu2 chassis.

rckjeep: Great, thanks!! That is what I was planning on doing, but didn't think about the set screw. Those are the things I was hoping to hear about in the responses, thanks.
