how to lower a mini rock crawler so it looks more comp like

I'm guessing by lower it you mean droop? Take the springs off the shocks. That will put you in a droop setup, which will 'lower' it.

When you droop it you'll want to put springs inside the shocks, you can get these for about $5 a pair.

just remember
a droops setup gives and takes

i can take alot of tuning to get ur setup dialed in to exactly how you want. you also need to change you driving style

for a beginer i suggest you just go for a set of shorter shocks or sumspacers under the piston

limit the shock

You can limit the shock by putting a peice of nitro fuel line over the shock shaft under the piston so the shock cannot extend as far so it will lower it. Also doing this will limit the axle rotation (flex) some by doing this but you might find that less is better than more when it comes to crawling. More looks cooler but less gets it done.

Don't need to run droop to get lower, can get some better Losi Crawler shocks and install those.. Better shocks, and shorter, so rig will ride lower.

Biggest thing in getting lower, is remounting the body by slamming it as well. Just redrill the mounting holes, and trim up the body to make room.

take the springs out and swithh the lower links with the shocks that will lower it. Or you can take the shocks apart and put pen springs in it one on the inside and the other on the shaft.

i put some shorter shocks on my ax10 and its siting at abou 2.25.. is that to low?? or should i just put the stock shocks back on it

I put some spacers inside my shocks. Lowered the car a good amount. Night and day regarding the performance! I highly recommend it.

Another option depending on your setup is repositioning the shocks my buddy has a redcat and we just had to move the shocks down the links cause that is where they are mounted it lowered it alot. I a not familiar with your setup so this may or may not be an option.
