I was riding my dirtbike last weekend at my work wearing shorts and trying out some sweet new jumps. By the next day the insides of my legs were itching like a mofo. I thought maybe I had the worlds worse case of jock itch:lmao:. Well it was poison oak oils all over my bike:shock: Now my legs n nuts are itching like crazy. I wash the bike every time I ride with simple green and this is the first time I've had this problem. So how do I clean this sh!t off the bike?

Nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure. Poison Oak is the Devil Bobby Boucher.

I got it bad from the trails behind the Folsom Rodeo grounds. A popular crawl spot. I will never go back there.. Ever..

Use a degreaser all over it then wash it in dawn dish soap 2-3 times then spray the whole area where you contracted the poison oak with WD40 should be good

I can clearly tell where your priorities are.... Your junk is eat up with poison oak and you want to know how to get it off the bike! Priceless! Worry about your junk first, it will be with you longer!

Anything that cuts oil will remove the poison oak from your bike. The oils from the plant cause a chemical burn. Thats why your legs and nuts are on fire. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do once its on your skin. For cleaning the oils off of equipment and tools, I've had good results with dawn dish soap and hot water.

yes you are right..

In a more deeper sense, The oil actually enters the layer of the skin reacting with the bodies immune system. Its stated in the link I have posted earlier...

Too bad its in his pants where millions reside....:ror:

I have the poison oak rash under control. I just made a track and want to ride my dirt bike without getting poison oak again."thumbsup"

I'm thinking maybe you could try using something like Fast Orange, that hand cleaner? Might work, and it'll smell good :). Or Purple Power? Then wash that stuff off with soap and water.

Not to be a D-bag my man but why the heck were you riding in shorts??

I rode and raced for a long time and that's just not cool.

Anyways, use "blue" Dawn dishwashing soap, cuts oils on your body and equipment just like it does on dishes and frying pans. I been showering with the stuff for years after a romp in the woods, works great, can't remember the last time I had Poison Ivy or anything like that. "thumbsup"

I should have worn all my gear... I've been riding for 27 years:shock: and I'm 31. I was only riding a couple minutes at a time then hop on the tractor then pick up a shovel. I'm building a little track. Mainly trying to get as much track as possible on a 2 acre lot at work. It was over 105* and humid. my shorts and helmet were soaking wet with sweat
