I need help figuring this out

Believe it or not the flush works cause, in the area live at, you get hard water and it not the best because of the residue of the water

I don't have a water softener, I have had the water tested a few times and its always hard water

So using plain water too flush alone, doesn't do shit for me, when I use flush it does what it supposed to

I got a good deal on the truck cause the previous owner new it would not pass smog and didn't run worth a shit and he pissed off the local smog referee where he was living in CA

So he could not smog it or register it and they would not insure it either

So when I showed up with cash and ready to haggle

Cause the previous owner just kept putting in motor oil it, that was it, no maintenance at all for years

That's why I put the 2 barrel Webber on cause, he destroyed the stock carburetor and all the sensors, and it is beyond rebuild able cause the oil and lack of care, plus I could not find any one to even

Offer to clean it or hot tank it, let alone rebuild it, So it cheaper for me to buy and install the Webber kit my self and block off the all of smog shit with steel plate and made covers to cover the holes in the block and manifolds

And that took care smog system, it was beyond repair and would need completely replaced and would need the stock carb to work properly

Where I live in Nevada there is no smog required, So installing the Webber and removing the smog and flushing the crap out of the radiator

And replacing the fuel filter and changing out the fuel pump and new water pump and brakes

I basically brought the truck back to life

And its been running good ever since

Except a when I have problems like when the original Catalytic Converter was plugged up and it cause vapor lock at freeway speeds

And now the thermostat I saved money fixing it my self

Distilled water. "thumbsup"

I've converted several trucks into one and it doesn't matter if you piss off the referee, they go by the book, you just have to do the work. I bought wiring diagrams for both trucks (that I was using engine and chassis from), removed/added wires and emissions components as needed (EFI with dual tanks), dash warning lights all must work properly. The check engine light was my last hurdle and I had to go to referee couple times before I got the California stamp of approval.

Most any carburetor can be rebuilt, can of carb cleaner, compressed air, brushes, rebuild kit and good to go. If the throttle plate is worn out, have it drilled and re-bushed. "thumbsup"

That's the reason, I got the truck cause the previous owner got into a pissing match with the referee and would not do any work, at all on the truck, even after the referee gave him a list of

Stuff that would make the truck run better, still no guarantee that it would pass smog, but it was a step in the right direction and showed he was willing to work on it, this went on 3 or 4 times

With out him doing any improvements until the had a physical confrontation, in the parking lot in front of the Smog referee's shop

And the police came out and had to separate them, cause the next business over called the police and witness them throwing blows

If he was willing to work on the truck, the referee would of been cooperative with him, they bumped heads and that was it

So they filed a a complaint against the previous owner and that ended the truck beaning legal in Ca

He was happy to sell it too me, cause I was from out of state and did not need the bullshit to be legal in Ca

Cause he tried to sell the truck a few times, until they found out about it not passing smog and the other problems the truck had, plus they would have to make all the repairs and go to another smog referee

And get the truck inspected and signed off after the bullshit with the referee

I had put new plugs and new plug wires and disturber cap and rotor, before I even left his house

Cause you could see the wires arcing and shorting out

Changing the plugs and wires, made a world of difference

And for the Toyota carb, I was told not too take it apart, cause I would never get it back together

Even if I could rebuild the Toyota carb, it would not function correctly with out replacing all of the smog shit

I was not putting that kind of money in it, nor was I going to junk yard to junk yard looking for smog parts, the Webber kit was a reasonable solution and same with removing the smog bullshit

Left the converter on the exhaust, so when I go out in the BLM land, or trails and fire roads, I'm legal and not starting fires

And if I sell the truck, I just sell it locally only or too some one in Nevada with no smog and its legal

The previous owner was a Airborne Ranger and had seen some shit in Middle East, I shit you not, he was a bad mofo, I seen the scars and medals

And didn't take shit from no one, and had a chip on his shoulder, so when the referee activated the launch codes buy beaning a smart ass and disrespecting him in his eye

There is no abort after the can of Whoop Ass has been opened and you can not stop until said can is empty

I can totally respect that, been there, done that, a few times, I have opened a few cases of Whoop Ass, in my day

Seriously there is no abort once the launch codes are activated, you had better hang on cause its going to be a bumpy ****ing ride
