I'm far too moderate to be called a conservative. As governor it is within abbots job description to enforce laws. We don't get to pick and choose which laws we agree with and only follow them while ignoring the rest. So if you don't like abbot vote him out next round.

Funny you mention laws, what the sheriff is doing is actually 100% legal, Abbot is attempting to change laws to match his agenda.

Legal and right are sometimes not the same. Illegal is the opposite of legal. Illegal immigrants are breaking the law, the sheriff should abide by those laws whether he likes them or not.
Apparently abbots agenda is to keep cities under his watch from breaking laws. :lol:

Just to bring some perspective here...the liberals are willing to throw insults to their fellow conservative Americans...but you have to be stupid to conveniently forget that Obama could have established a no fly zone before or after the crossing of the "red line"...but he didnt.
Republicans called for a no fly zone. Democrats sat on their hands and not a single one of them crossed Obama.
Obama caused this mass migration and was too weak kneed to enforce a simple no fly zone to protect these refugees. Oh but now the lefties are all about refugees.
It really bothers me that the liberals are so sheepish and gullible. That spineless nature I will never understand.

The immigration issue is simple to address. They won't ever fully address it though. The topic is used time and time again to distract both sides.
That works both ways, don't pretend that it doesn't. There are plenty of conservatives that shit their pants when you mention (trigger warning!) refugees. Whether they don't have the cognitive capacity or simply don't care to understand the key differences between the refugee migrations of Europe and the US, they just can't seem to grasp them. Both sides need to calm the fawk down.

But yeah, a fully locked down border is not feasible or warranted at this point.

I don't understand how anybody can say that. Everybody should be supporting a locked border until we get immigration under control. Immigration is out of control. We have illegals flooding in daily. Not all of these people are safe or worthy of living here. Most are not terrorists, but that doesn't mean they aren't drug mules or part of the drug cartels. Shouldn't we fix the leaks before we open the main pipeline? That's how you control things.
I'm not saying I don't want that, I'm saying that it's going to take more than a fancy wall to get things "under control".

If I remember correctly, when Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer's SB 1070 was found to be unconstitutional, the courts ruled that only the Presidential Administration had authority on immigration policy, and not the States. Recently there have been news reports, with social justice activists saying it should be up to the individual states to decide their own immigration policy.
What's stupid about the whole immigration thing right now is places like Texas saying it's illegal to ask for ID to vote, but if I get pulled over I better have ID... or buy alcohol, or walk into a school, or gamble.... all these things you need to provide ID when asked. Maybe just outlaw ID all together since apparently it's discriminatory. (Unless your White of course).
