Anyone out there had insomnia? Bad insomnia? Let's hear about it. Even trouble sleeping for various reasons and what you do at night,or weird dreams.....

I'll go first..
A very odd thing is happening to me, Being a long time insomniac,
I thought I had gotten used to the fact but it isn't the case. I was
told I had anxiety problems and prescribed Sarepax. They do help
sleep if you take enough but I don't think i need to be addicted
to benzo's right now.

Anyway this is what's happening...
I've always had detailed dreams, and used to be able to control them too.
Now I'm finding the dreams are just crazy, and to add to it I have trouble
defining reality from my subconscious.Like when I do sleep and dream I'm still awake in a way.The other thing is, I'm experiencing things in my dreams
that are very strange.

I found myself in a dream standing in a garden picking up rocks and
feeling they're different weights. Some had the weight of foam.Ever
weighed anything in your dreams? I have. This is only one example of many.

I'm averaging 2hrs a night, the missus is worried but there isn't
much I can do at the moment.usually it just sorts itself out over time.
If anyone else has stories about insomnia, experiences or dreams,
Get them up here! "thumbsup"

The other things I've started experiencing in dreams are temperature, smells, pain and colours.
I feel like Donnie Darko. lol

I have some pretty decent pain that affects all sorts things including sleep. I got a solid hour and a half of sleep last night. Some nights are better. Some nights I literally don't sleep at all.

My friend allso only sleep 3-4 houres a night, it has been so for him for decades.
He dont get any help and he dont want any help, i can undestand the resent 3-4 years cuz he live with a broken shoulder witch Danish doctors cant fix.
And now since his Heart attack in december the pille he have to eat for that mean he cant eat painkillers anymore. ( or atleast not the painkillers that Work a Little for his shoulder )

Myself i have had problems Falling asleep the past couple of years, but i have found out that if i wait untill 5-6-7 in the morning i can fall asleep with allmost no problem and even sleep for the 5 houres or even more some days.

I have tried to flip my sleep timings by not going to bed one morning, this mean that by 8-9 in the evening i have no problem Falling asleep or getting up early the next morning
BUT then Again at night i can not fall asleep before 5-6-7 in the morning  its like if i am not deadly tiered my brain spin up all kinds of s..t and keep me from sleeping.

I can rarely remember my dreams, but i actually had one yesterday.

I was woken or some way annoyed by noise outside my Apartment, and looking out the window up in the air there was a Whole lot of quasi futurristic fighters and bombers flying fairly low, i then went outside to see some one had begun Building a huge tall and narrow steel bridge out into the Water. ( i dont live near a airport or for that sake the Water )

Lately my doctor have been feeding me anti depressives, but they dont Work at all  i have told him that the only pills that can help me have to make me deaf and blind.

NyQuil NyQuil NyQuil, you gigant fuc..ng Q :ror:

I dont even thing Danish doctors prescribe the stuff you Americans get over-the-counter.

Its like : look at a butterfly for 2 houres, then eat 0.5 M appel peel and come back to me in a decade or so ( the prize for decades of public healthcare )

Benadryl alarm went off! Been a few weeks since I've taken one of those. I think I will! Maybe two!

I'm in a shitty cycle of having to have beers in me to sleep all night, otherwise I don't sleep at all. I don't like it. If I drink less, I sleep less. Drink more, sleep more. I actually feel better kinda hung over than how I feel not sleeping.

That means your an alcoholic dude.

I had a car accident 3 years ago causing back and neck injury and pain. In those 3 years I can count on my hands the nights I slept over 4-5 hours at once. All required me taking Doc proscribed pills. Since I don't like the meds I don't take them unless I absolutely need it. So on an average night I will sleep 4-5 hours waking up at least 3 times due to discomfort and pain. The crazy part is with such short sleeping times I rarely dream, can't honestly recall the last time I had a dream. Its like living in a 24 hour active day with only a couple cat naps to join the days.

The doctors over here say "rest and liquids" for just about anything, or "Meditation and exercise".
I find I can spend the afternoon not thinking about anything, then I go to bed start thinking
of all sorts of random crap. The other thing I didn't mention is I sweat at night too which is uncomfortable
and annoying.According to the internet of wisdom I have menopause or lymphoma.I think I might
try and stop eating after about 7pm. See if that helps.

These tablets I'm on affect short term memory too, that, with the insomnia, is hell. I'm going to end up needing
cards for everything and chain my belongings to myself, like the kid from mercury rising. Lost a bank card yesterday.
Very frustrating. I've probably got a fight club somewhere too.

You stole the words right out of my mouth. I hardly ever remember a dream. When I do I wish I hadn't.

If I knock down a bottle of red I'll sleep like a baby.Ruins my guts though and i end up sitting on the crapper the next day,
for a good majority of it. I've tried ejaculating before bed into hands, socks, tissues and vaginas. None of them seem to help a great deal.

I'm not really after answers for it,I know I've got it now, have done for 5 years or more.
Just thought it would be cool for us all to have a yarn about it. I currently drink a fair bit
when I can afford it and had a bit of a colourful past in my younger days spending many years
battling substance abuse. All of which has added up to now. Lets hear some more
