Most places I have checked locally, are out of the motors. Tower will have it late March. Anyone knows where I can get one cheap? or something similar to the lathe motor? I don't want to spend big $$$ for a motor as I have already spent on the rest of stuff. I just ran to the lhs to get bearings for Pede, and now it costs me about $45 plus $20 for 8 bearings. I should have bought it from crawler store for 1/2 the price but now I have to get this thing done. For this price I could have gotten an R2.

Thanks

I just placed an order with the crawler store for a 65T integy. Unless their site is not undated, which I doubt, then they have them in stock. If only they carried TA02 knuckles I wouldn't have a need for tower at all.

Sounds good Brian,

I should have bought them along with the chassis, but I had some credit with Tower that I wanted to use. First they said late Feb, and now it is late March. I will call you tonight to place the order.

Do I need to add the capacitor to the motor? Someone told me that I would burn the esc if I don't. Is it true?

Thanks again,

You can get a 55T handwound (which I would recomend over the 65T anyway)from the same place you got the chassis. Cheaper than tower too."thumbsup"

whats the difference between normal integys and a hand woun integy??

thanks

The handwounds are not only handwound (obviously:lol: ) they also use a different can with stronger magnets. They make more power and have smoother throttle response as compaired to the machine wound.

Thanks again,

The handwound Integy has an small circuit board allready installed on the endbell that contains the capacitors, no need to add anything. "thumbsup"

Another thing to remember, 65t's while very torquey, don't have the greatest RPM's for wheel speed, even with gearing. 55t's are better all around...and then there's a brushless setup...."thumbsup"

I just purchased a 55t handwound from RCP. Wow! Very nice.

I am running an R2 and 14t. With a 6cell pack it has very good power, is VERY! smooth at low rpm (i can creep o-so slow even under load) and has pretty decent wheel speed.

With an 8cell it has amazing wheel speed. On the garage floor I can spin the tires when I punch it. On carpet (high traction) if I punch it in reverse (less weight in the rear) it actually will lift the left rear tire off the ground (mini wheely). It is still just as smooth a low speeds.

I just received a couple handwound 55t motors from RCP, I like them a lot more than the lathe motors.
