integy or rc4wd

Of the two axles the K44 is the hands down winner. It has a lot better machining and fit. Plus the K44 comes with high steer where the integy is a copy of the stock knuckle design.

I would also consider the SSD RC D60 housing for the front axle and the diamond for the rear if you want metal.

PARTS FOR SCX10

Or go with the Vanquish SCX10 housings or top of the line the Curries.

RC4WD without question but I would go with a axle that uses axial ring and pinions if you want something with quite a bit more durability.

what I have found out over the years is integy always looks good...but performs poorly. No integy

please take it from me when I say that you never want to spend more than you can afford to lose with Integy. It's like a lottery ticket, plan on it being a waste of money, but on the rarest occasion you might be surprised when their product actually fits and lasts more than one run. My two cents based on far too many bad experiences and a small handful of good.

as stated by others, integy's quality is poor and very hit and miss and i also recommend steering away from integy and go for something of better quality

It's funny how much people on this site bash Integy while talking up RC4WD. A lot of RC4WD's products are on the same quality level as Integy. RC4WD makes nice wheels and tires, but even those aren't without problems. You have the RC4WD Raceline wheels cutting the bead clean off of tires. I've had a set of RC4WD beadlock wheels on which the beadlock ring bent under the "pressure" of an RC4WD tire. And then you have the TF2 and D90 kits that have all types of issues. Massive tolerances on the parts that lead to sloppy connections, soft metal that makes these sloppy connections worse over a short period of time, machining issues (untapped holes, incorrectly placed holes, etc.), and parts missing from the kits. On top of all this, you have RC4WD's horrible customer service. Integy has zero customer service in my experience, but RC4WD isn't much better.

So just be aware that Integy is not the devil and RC4WD isn't the almighty.

I had problems with both companies and yes you are right. Integy ignored me completely until I sicced the BBB on them, and only then they accepted my legit warranty return. Ridiculous. If you buy integy buy from tower where you have recourse.

Rc4wd responded and offered me discounts on future purchases, but I had to pay PayPal and jump through other hoops so I declined.

I stopped buying rc4wd wheels because of the PITA factor when mounting them, and bumpers too when I saw how easily the paint chips off them.

I have had zero response from integy customer service and like said before rc4wd customer service is quick to respond but their no better than integy's by the time you jump through the hoops your on the losing end of the deal and may as well just have bought a new part. Jatotheripper you are 100% correct its amazing how many fanboys are here just to bash personally i don't buy exclusively from one manufacturer i buy from whoever has something i need want or just catches my eye.

heres what I've learned over the years...if they don't have a phone number, don't buy from them.

I asked the BBB to look into Integy once after they boned me on a $200 order. They literally could not even find the company outside of their address which is a handling address, not an actual business. That's not to say that they are a figment of our imagination, but is certainly a deceptive way to conduct business.

That said, I don't think any one company has all bad products, I own plenty of Integy parts and many are just fine. On the other hand, the parts I've been the most disappointed by were made by California based companies. Why that is...IDK

The one thing I have noticed about Integy is you always want to buy their billet machined products, they seem to hold up better.

just be careful before buying anything they make, if it's an area that will receive abuse, look another direction. And like I said, plan on the money being wasted and hope for the best.

It's all for fun, I just don't want to see someone lose the money I have dealing with them.
