Internal BEC questions

Hey guys....

I got some questions that I want to make sure recently,

Case #1:
here is my set up for C2 rig right now.
  • DX3R w/ SR300 Receiver
  • Mamba Max Pro ESC
  • HH 35t Motor
  • 3S LiPo
  • CC BEC
  • Hitec 7950 Steering Servo
  • Hitec 5995 Servo Winch with HeyOK HV(7.4v) Winch Controller
As for the Case #1, I got a CC BEC @ 7.4V for Hitec 7950 steering servo already, so can I set the internal BEC @ 7.4v from MMP for servo winch or I need to get one more CC BEC @7.4V for my winch??



Case #2:

  • Mamba Max Pro ESC
  • HH 27t Motor
  • 3S LiPo
  • CC BEC
  • Hitec 7950 Front Steering Servo
  • Hitec 7954 Rear Steering Servo
  • Hobbico CS-170 Servo Winch with HeyOK HV(7.4v) Winch Controller
As for the Case #2, would u guys recommend to have 3 CC BEC for each servo and winch? or what is the best way to protect those servo and esc for long life?



I knew most of guys knew how to answer this easy question...please help:mrgreen:

By the way,
I did some research for Tekin FX-R ESC, and its internal BEC is @ 6V from factory setting, so there is no way I can change the internal BEC from Tekin FXR, right?

I would say for case #1 that one cc bec will do, and in case #2 a cc bec pro. The servos will be fine all on one bec.
 
I'd say that in both cases the one external BEC is sufficient for all the servos and extras. (The servos don't pull more than 3A each at most.)
Just have the ESC's BEC power the Rx, to avoid radio glitches.
 
First it sounds like you have the heyok 2 amp winch controller.personally I swapped to the 4 amp and ran 3s to all of my winches.... One reason was speed..... Other was power.... And same in your case one less bec, ran directly to 3s battery.

I use one 10amp bec to run each servo, had power issues using more than one servo to a 10amp. As for the cc pro.... Never had luck. Always broke wires.... Or had unit fail to work. Never these issues from the 10 amp version.

I would use each bec run each servo directly and let the esc bec power the rx.

As for internal bec you cannot change voltage.

I personally would run a single BEC on each item. Maybe you could get away with a single on the rear servo along with the winch, but I would not risk the issues. I ran a BEC pro on 3 servos, and it would not keep up. I ran a single BEC on 2 servos, and it would not keep up. They would stall and brown out.

I would not use the internal BEC on a Mamba MAx Pro t do any more than run a receiver, maybe a couple LED lights ( couple being 2, not 10)

So, I will run each CC BEC for each servo, then let MMP's BEC to power Rx.

No, that's how the RX will get its power.

Wire the BECs directly to the battery power source, i.e., the male Deans plug that will go to your battery.
