Some of you that run a jailbroke iPhone, what are the pros and cons? Does it effect the performance any?
 
^no it does not effect the performance, JB give you the freedom of doing whatever you want.

If you stay away from the flashy stuff that changes appearance you'll be fine. Programs like winterboard that allow you to change themes slow it down and will even cause a crash requiring you to reboot in safe mode. I did it for the free tethering. I use PDANet.
