My dad/mom just give me the go ahead on a 1.1 project..
I dont relly want to do a 4x4 or some mustang or something.
The reson being is I like to be differnt. I have fount a 71 bettle for 285
I was thinking a socal frount axles kit with skinnys up frount and some wild wheels and rims in the rear painted flat black.
Can someone give me some info in bugs like the chassis engins etc..
And what is some of the bigger cc engins i could put in it?

Here's a idea, take your parents money and spend it on a spelling tutor

71 beetle for $285.... $3500 for a motor, $2000 for interior, $1000 for a cage to go with the new motor (after all sounds like you want a drag car) $500 for new 1 piece fiberglass front end.

If you want to be different, buy an Old Metro or other 50's compact car and drop in a mild 350, much cheaper. Built bugs realy arent different anymore, everyone does them

Well If you are going to do a bug go wild with it. Strech it, chop it and slam it. Put a 350 in the front, 9" rear and a cage.

"I like to be different"..... so what do you guys think about flat black???????

BE DIFFERENT go with something most people wouldnt. Like a fenderless front and a fenderless rear with the old skinny tall drag slicks. Chop the top 3" in the front and put old 3/4 drag seats in it, paint it olive drab (flat) with no trim!!!

Bug bodies on 4x4's are REALLY popular right now (at least on this board). I'd tell you to build one of those, but you said you wanted to be different......:lol::lol:

Bob...i want to bulid something like the one with the 18 on the door or the two tone one...
Just found out it has no engin...so what is there to look at in the engin it has to be the vw one..but what size slicks should i go with and yes i am not goin to use fenders..what kind of rims will fit?

"thumbsup"All this BS wanting crap man you should make up your mind dude!!! I say $hit in one Hand and want in the other and see which one feels up first!!! No really though I like bugs man. I say go for it dude.

What!!!!!

wanna be different? slam an 83 ranger and slap a 454 in it

Why power a FORD with a non ford powerplant....

IF you try to get a big block to fit I know the only way to get a 5.8l in a 89 ranger and have it look right is to throw a 92 ish front clip(dog house) on it, the headlights are poked forward enough to make it work (body lines dont match up all that well)

all the outher cars i have is junk..i work/trade on theme ALOT...
I am goin to try my best to get the bug..i love the socal look.does any one know of a frount axle to use that ant 1000 bucks?
also the is the best size vw engin to put in it i know that made a few differnt ones..
