I got my black Friday baby today. I picked this up on banggood.com for $79.99 on black Friday. I have been wanting one for a few months. Even built my power supplies a month ago. Anyhow this charger comes in the box with nothing but a screen protector and itself. Hook up a dc power supply via a xt60 connector and your ready to fire it up. I use a parallel charging board to charge up to 6 packs of the same voltage at the same time. I can hit them with 30 amps of charging power. Makes balance charging a breeze.

The instructions are pretty much non existent. They just cover the specifications and provide a link to download them online.

So far it is quiet and the display is well let and easy to read. When the fan kicks on high speed it's not bad. Quieter than my Hitec x4ac plus. The navigation is very easy and intuitive. My only complaint is that the up arrow button is not placed correctly I habe to hit the button at about 1:00 to get it to go up. If I hit the up arrow it seems to hit the back button. I will be contacting the manufacturer about this. It took a few minutes to figure out how to make it work.

That being said I can't wait to be able to charge batteries in many different ways. You could plug in a large 6s pack and have it on the trails to charge up your small 3s packs. You could hook it up to the car battery. And you can use a power supply to charge up your batteries. It is a very powerful, flexible charger that has an easy to use, intuitive display, all wrapped up in a small package.

One nice touch is that the logo at the top is backlit. Never thought I could get so excited about a charger. Also when the battery is complete the logo flashes and it beeps. It will display the battery internal resistance as well. This is a nice way to keep track of your packs

life.

The IR feature can definitely be a wake-up call. I'm guessing that was a junk battery you tested? 28mohms and 2.7v/cell?

I think that is supposed to be micro ohms. That battery was pretty new. The reason I say that is because it always says mohms. Even when there is no battery hooked up.

I've heard the IR in chargers are usually off? But ya 2.6v is pretty low. Is your lipo cut working in your esc?

A microohm (µΩ, 10^-6) is 1/1000 of a milliohm (mΩ, 10^-3). My 620 displays "mΩ" with my cells in the 3-5 range, the lower being Gens Ace 5500mAh 45C. I also found a public IR spreadsheet that listed some 5000mAh 40C Gens Aces just under 2 mohm using a "Wayne Giles ESR/IR Meter".

New or not, if they dropped below 2.9V then the cells likely took damage. IR readings could be affected by corrosion on the balance leads. If you have an in-line watt meter you could test the voltage drop, that will be the real tell-all.

I'll have to look at the pack in question tonight to double check. I had one that was puffed and marked for replacement. I may have grabbed that one. I was in a hurry to get this writeup done. I didn't even notice the voltage till you guys brought it up. I do know what a micro ohm is and what the symbol is. I use an albeir battery internal resistance checker at work regularly. Our big cells usually read about 3500 micro ohms or 3.5milli ohms. So yea I guess that pack is likely toast. It's the first time I have checked a Lipo. I will double check the charger with a handful of new packs I just bought.
