Once I learned that the Everest 10 is a sorta-clone of the original SCX-10, it was just a matter of slapping parts together. It's fun to drive, and boy howdy is it quiet. Like... all you hear is tire noise. I'm pretty happy with it.

The gearbox is a no-name SCX-10 clone from Amazon, attached to a pair of $25 Gen7 Pro front axles via Wendigo center driveshafts. Servos are a pair of AGFRC 32kg waterproof jobs, they work a treat off of the internal BEC and almost match the Hobbywing Fusion for quietness.

The current wheel/tire combo is a cheap option, as I haven't decided what I want to go with permanently. The GMade Bighorns work well enough (aside from being a bit noisy and not really tall ehough) for the $15 a pair, but I think this rig could really benefit from something taller and thinner.

So quiet though. 8)

ive always liked that cage i dont know if its posable but if you can get that battery down on to the front links it moves the weight forward and down as low as posable and takes the weight off the chassie

It would certainly be nice to get the battery lower and more forward, but in this cage there's really no way to do it conveniently. The 3S 1500 will just fit between the shocks, but getting it in and out is a wrestling match. As it sits now I can just slide it out in a matter of seconds. Definitely easier to just add some weight to the front axle to compensate, I reckon.

An E10 is a clone from a axial AX10 from back in the day...not the SCX10...just saying .
You could put a 3s battery in the compartment between the front shocks ...works pretty well and stores easily a 1500mah lipo ;)

i dont think were thinking the same thing im sayin to mount the battery directly to the upper links i have mine mounted at a 45 so the high spot is in the middle between the rails and the low spot down between the links

i used a thin peice of plastic to protect the battery and some tape so it dosent rub through
it makes a huge difference mounted like that
