Jedi's Upgraded TR Honcho

gymjunkie23 - oo pare, mabuhay from the PI! Parts are very hard to come by, especially since the honcho is fairly new here. Prices are not that consistent. ebay is my friend.

Traxxasforfun- they are ax10 bent links from Hot Racing, IIRC ;-)

sorry for the crappy pics :D

Still having troubles with the winch, followed the instructions, still don't know what I'm doing wrong, no movement whatsoever... Anybody else want to school me?

Can't help you really, but just wanted to say that when I was setting mine up, it was pulled so tight that the winch wasn't spinning...are you sure it's not just bound up?

Also, I ended up just using an MRC ESC since the stock controller board seemed to mess up on me...never even got to use it.

Jedi

I used the same 3racing winch but I don't have any problem. Im not using a separate battery for the winch so I just cut the wires with the tamiya plug that is meant for external battery supply and solder it directly on the black and red servo wires (polarity must be right). With this the power for the winch is also supplied by the BEC(RX). Not that its a must its just to minimize wires coming out from the winch controller. Try hard wiring the motor to a battery(4.8V) and see if it will spool up just to know if the motor has no problem.

Bring it to the group perhaps somebody from the group can help you.

Btw, This is my rig and the link to my build."thumbsup"

The winch is working when I use the button on the control module. No problem at all. What I can't figure out is how to make it work remotely using my 4pk. (if that is even possible)

Thanks for taking time out to post guys.

quick update!

Scratch built seats (half of it :D) using paint caps and tamiya putty. Styrene center console and cab box! Used the tamiya weathering kit to give it more depth and texture.
