Hello Guys ,

I am Matthias 31years old from Germany , i am new to the RCCrawler and this will be the first Build thread .
I hope my englisch writing will be good enough so that all of you can understand it :D

I am a big Jeep fan , and this is not my first RC Jeep :D
So it will be a Jeep again , but this time a TJ .

First of all ther was the decision for the chassis , i am running already a few MST CMX chassis .
But this time i have choosen the RC4WD TF2 SWB chassis , because i was looking for some more scale detail ...

But on the other side the SWB is a leafspring chassis , and that dosen't matches the Jeep TJ becaus that model has a link setup .

So i had to convert it to a link setup with panhard .
First of all i startet with the mounting points for the links on the chassis , i had to fabricate some custom spacers and some braces to get a good suspension geometrie with no binding .

Then i started on the links , these are made out of M3 threaded Rod and carbon fiber pipes .
After i got those done and everything was working good i had to do the panhard setup too ...

Here i used again a self made brace to get the Panhard link mounted to the axle , on the chassis side i used a part of a RC4WD Gelande2 chassis .
Last but not least i made the BTA rod and steering rod ...

After everthing was working perfect , i started on the shocks . The base iss a SCX10 Shock but i modified it with losi springs and selfmade spring plates . I use this combo an a few rigs and it works perfect .
On my other rigs i use also a rubberband set up so i get the shocks to a semi drop setup ...

Later on i have changed the Yota2 rear axle to a RC4WD K44 axle , this will give me a slide underdrive and better performance !

Ok but now enough words , here are some pictures from the progress ...

Hope you enjoy it !

After i was done with the Chassis i started on the body .

I took a Tamiya Jeep YJ body and converted it to a TJ .

First i thought it will be a easy deal , but then I noticed it will be a lot more then change the Grill .
So i had to cut a lot an glue a lot back on :D

After is was done with the Grill and fenders up front i started with the back side .
I cut it of completle behind the doors , and made new side panels and back panel and glued all togehter .

Then i cutted the doors of , and made also new doors out of scratch .
They have hinges so the can be opened .

So here are some pictures from the progress ...

Hello there ,

End of last week i recived my self designed and 3D printed Transfer Case for the TF2 SWB chassis , to get a better clerance under the frame !
It is also a 2:1 Gear Ratio.

I will show you some pictures ...

And on the weekend in Made some Brass Knuckles for the YOTA 2 Axle .
This took quied a lot of time milling and turning :)

But i think the outcome is not bad !

And the Tamiya Jeep Body did get a littel attention too ...

It is also a 3d printed part i have designed .
The original boned needs to be cut out , and this is like a insert .

Here are some pics of the part !
