Man good luck bakersfield is kinda ruff, a guy got shot and killed down the street from where i stayed last time i was there, and it was just a night stop cause i was tired driving,

Disco,
Try Tehachapi!!!! I've lived here over 30 years and love it. There's a bunch to say about it, but you won't go wrong. Check it out, plus there are lots of R/C ers up here. Great schools, small town, 45 min to Bakes, etc, etc. Ron

PS check with "Snail 78" on here also.

I've lived in Bakersfield all my life and while I love Bakersfield, I hate living in California (if that makes sense).

I second the Tehachapi idea. Only remember that Tehachapi is a mountain community and it gets pretty chilly up there in the winter. Their schools are great as well.

Good Luck!
