Joywrex's TF2 "MiAylita" Build (Pic Heavy)

I decided to make a front bumper. The flex from the plastic bumper that I got from using the winch or slamming into the bumper was lame...although when it did flex away I didn't as likely get stuck...

I used a GoPro at 10sec per shot. We should all do it so we can see each others process. What do you think?

I just got the same inner fenders. Did you paint them on he inside or outside?

I painted them on the top (the part that is not seen when the body is over it) but didn't like the glossiness of them so I went ahead and sprayed the inside as well.

Hi, really nice truck and build, I love your custom upgrades and the use of rust colored primer to make it look like the scrapes rusted. I got a question though, how do you like the mudslingers? I've always been partial to the boggers as far as tires look but was wondering if the grip was at least as good as the stock tires?

Thanks in advance, loved all your videos also. Keep it up

The mudslingers arn't that great. I assume they are good in mud if ur into that kinda thing. They are larger than the stock tires so it's hard to compare them. They are probably better.

Thanks for watching my videos!

Back to work.

I decided that interior was too 2010 hummer for the hilux. I did add the steering column part.

I took off all of the bumpers and sliders for now and cut the front grill area higher up to raise the front bumper and give more clearance in the wheel wells. I also lowered the rig by removing one of the two lift blocks. I have plans for the suspension...

Time to drive it. I think it'll be a lot better but I still really want the t-boxes and shooter shackles. They're so damn expensive though...Maybe i'll just do the chino mod.

(Yeah, I've been reading the new Team RC4WD Guide to the TF2 thread. Great write up."thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"

I think your custom front bumper will look better now that you cut off the lower section of the grille piece. Have you tried putting it back on? I got a set of those under fender protectors, did your truck run ok with them on there?

I've been trying to decide if I should use the bumper I made or not. I'd like to braze new front and side bumpers when I have more time. I would need to at least make new mounting brackets for the front bumper so it can be raised higher up to fit the shorter grill.

The inner fenders work fine for me. I know other people just use tupperware bowls of the perfect size instead of buying the vacuformed parts...

Here's a video of some trailing around. The scx10 shock hoops, shocks and other tweaking really made this little guy perform better. Enjoy!
