I can confirm they are working on the update. I got a chance to meet and talk with Jim this weekend about it. Great guy!

I also suggested they improve the layout and contrast of the link skins. I don't like that every ESC has a different skin and layout. Needs less fluff.

So when's this fix going to be available? I want more drag brake for my comp rig and I'm considering this thing, and it will be going in my MRC for sure when I pick one up, but I sure as hell won't be buying any if I can't have reverse. That's completely unacceptable. I don't want a "we're working on it" from a bunch of sponsored guys. That's great, but I want a real answer before I spend money on this thing. An ETA on the fix would be ideal...

Forgot to mention earlier...thanks Brett for abusing it on a 3 cell with a 35 turn. That alleviates all of my concerns about over amping it in my comp rig.

I had a small issue with a 35 turn on a 3 cell lipo. Twice.

I never had any doubts that you were working on it. I've seen Tekin's drive to bring us good products...I was just wanting a time table, that's all. The fact that the issue was never even mentioned in the initial review was also really annoying. Luckily I heard about it before buying the things.
Anyways...what kinds of issues did you have? I'll be running a 45 turn and on 2S? Maybe 3S in the future.
I can safely say a 35 turn on 3S is just too much for the little guy. It worked great for light duty, but when the going got tough, the tough didn't want to go anymore. It would work fine for a scaler, but in a comp truck, it might be a asking a little too much. I had to really push it though, and I mean reeeeally.
I'm working on a 45 turn on 3S, and if it works fine, I believe I found the limit.

Just wanted to let Tekin know they've lost a bunch of B1r sales here at my shop due to not having the full revers yet. I talked to a rep about 2 months ago and they said the update would be available in a few weeks. Here it is 2 months later and no update :roll:. I can't recommend a ESC that doesn't have full revers for a crawler. I love my B1r (it was updated by a Tekin driver,.... Thanks) but can't recommend it to my customers..... Hope to see a fix soon.
