Kamikaze's '08 Comp rig

Kamikaze,
Where are your custom axles?
didn't like the weight?

This thing looks great. looks very sleek!"thumbsup"

Whew!!! I finnaly got everything finished today. I went down to the Rat Shack to pick up some 10k ohm resistors and a 3 position switch to mod my MX-3 for a 3 position 3rd channel to run my dig/freewheel/drive on the R2D tranny. See the red switch. It was a little scary at first but I got it done.(Thanks Jay!!) I got a 3 position switch that stays put so I can run it hands off in whatever mode I want. Also the TP945 I had in there burn up so I found a Hitec 645 in my shed outside and luckly it still worked so in it went. The tranny shifts very smoothly under load.
I had the wireing looking great but I had a glitch, a bad one. After I tore it all apart looking for it I found that the servo extension on the quark was shorting out. So I didn't bother to put everything back as nice as it was, who cares its not a tuber, the body will hide the mess. I also split up an 8 cell 2/3 a pack for the front axle. I drove it a little tonight, it works great. I'll get some video this week.

Looks good Jeff, but really where's all the custom stuff? Or is this just a temporary rig until your next custom creation is finished? I just can't see you running something with out a tube chassis.

what is the blue on the drive shafts.

That is the rubber boot that comes with the drive shafts. It protects them from grit, reducing wear.

Gee Sven........ I custom wire a pack, hot wire a radio, build a comp worthy truck in 5 hours............sorry I didn't have time to whip out something spectacular. I just wanted a dependable rig to whip some arse in next years point series.

Well, be it long as the wife don't be caring, then who cares right?

Oh wait, she's got her own truck.

Are you going to get the strait axel set on your rig? I have mine on order, they are not necessary I guess but they sure are a nice option to having rear knuckles and turnbuckles.

So how come you guys are running 8 cells? I would think less would be better...:?:

Cause I'm running an outrunner and I like wheelspeed. Also more volts = more torque.

Yeah, whenever TCS gets them back in stock."thumbsup"
