Killswitch's LCC

Here's a better shot that shows the real colors of the paint.

I put 2 packs through it earlier today with a couple different delrin steering links I made and I'm not a huge fan of either. The 1/4 cleared the housing fine with the 20* c hubs, but flexed like a mofo and the 5/16 was stout enough but rubbed the housing even though it's already been shaved... So I ordered the lunsford piece. Trying a new online shop too and for the price you'll see why http://www.advantagehobby.com/product.php?productid=114062 I don't know if they have it on sale or what, but $9.10 is super cheap and it was $4.99 s+h.

I was trying to wait to see what William was going to come up with for the RCBros high steer knuckles and 20* Cs, but I need something dependable now so I went with the lunsford stuff for now... especially as cheap as I got them.

I am runnng the 20* C's with the RCbros OTA with no issue. I could not use their low COG servo mount though and had to go back to the stock with some shaved off the front of the plate.

I bent my RCBros OTA on a nasty 15-20ft tumble... I cant complain about it though. I put that link through hell and it took a free fall drop after a nasty bounce and landing on the passenger side wheel to bend it. It also took out an axle housing, plastic C and a V2 CVD. I thought I bent a wheel at first everything was twisted so badly, but it was just where the C had twisted and ripped out of the housing.

The OTA seems like a good idea, I seemed to run the steering link into lots of stuff. Are you not running the rcbros one anymore?

Not any more. I ran the stock link when I first swapped to the 20* C's so I could run a comp, but I quickly modded the rcbros ota to work. It lasted a few weeks and bent so I went back to the stock. Now thanks to my wonderful wife, I have a Lunsford link on the way.

Was this on the OTA link you modded? If it bent before it was modded I'll send you a new one. I warranty all my items.

As for the OTA link. I drop an hour yesterday to another hobby shop to pick up the 20* C's to get this thing finished up. And well. They were out. I have one on order and its suppose to be here friday. Very sorry for the delays guys. Alots been happening.

William, it bent after it was after it had been modded. I had removed quite a bit of material where the bushing slides through to make it all work and that is where it failed. That's why I never posted anything about it before since it wasn't any kind of issue with your product "thumbsup". I still want a high steer setup that works with the 20* Cs and I'm more than willing to wait for a system that works, especially now that Erik has a knuckle weight that looks promising for your high steer knuckles. I feel like Hannibal from the A-Team... "I love it when a plan comes together."

dumb question, but is the lunsford just a replacement to the stock link, or is it ota as well? Do the 20* Cs pull the bar farther back that it rubs on the servo mount? I can't find the pictures I'd like to see of the setup

The lunsford pieces are just a better version of the stock stuff. The Ti will slide over the rocks a lot better than the stock stuff. I wish my RCBros link had survived. I loved that thing but I really had to remove a lot of material to make it work with the servo plate I'm running and the 20* Cs. If I had just left the 20 Cs on there instead of having to see the diffference it probably would have survived, but I like to tinker. If you aren't running the 20* Cs, the RCBros OTA is without doubt the steering link to go with. It just works.
