Krazed Builds is happy to bring back a weight hanger option for those Berg owners using the 8* Vp knuckles.

ScreenShot2011-11-14at52939PM.png

These were originally brought out to you by KL Designs and we are happy to be able to bring them back.

These are cnc cut from 1/16" double sided carbon fiber and delrin. There will be two pieces of delrin that sandwich the carbon fiber holder.
The delrin is machined with a few thousands of interference to the weights to ensure a snug fit.

Will include all spacers and stainless hardware to bolt onto your 8* vp knuckles. Spacers are .250 but some may need to adjust that depending on your wheel combos. We saw these as a good starting point to get them installed.
The system weighs less than 1/4 oz but fully loaded (8 weights per side) brings it up to over 4oz per side.

The clearances at full lock are very minimal however I can still max out my 300 cvd's before the weight system interferes with the c-hubs.

Weights are not supplied.
These were designed around using the Pinewood Pro Tungsten Weights.
They will need to be purchased separately. You can find them here -
Pinewood Pro Tungsten Weights

As of now this has only been tested on the berg setup, not on an ax10 axle housing. Read down for Jeepindougs post on how to use them on the Xr using RCBros weight hangers.

Back In Stock!.

We are going to use KL Design's original pictures to show you how they install. They are pretty straight forward and simple for installation.

Align the delrin retainers note: they are not symmetric

Using a pair of pliers, making sure you have the weight square to the holders, gently press the weight into the first retainer, then thou the carbon fiber and back thru the second retainer. This will take some persuasion but don't get carried away. Complete with the rest of the weights you want to install.

Install onto your Vanquish 8* knuckle using the 2 small 3mm screws and be sure to use thread locker (we don't recommend red). Note the carbon fiber washer needs to be on the outside of the horse shoe.

Depending on your wheels and hubs, you may need to cut down or use smaller spacers. Also, you will need to push or pull the weights from one side or the other if they are interfering with your beadlock screws.

Note the direction of the holders - they are not symmetrical.
You will want to be sure you have the highest hole closest to your steering arm to avoid any possible interference on the back side of the axles.

you cant make anything like these to fit on the wraith steering knuckle??
I know there are no holes to mount the hanger on on the side off the knuckle,,but if you where to take the NCD and base the new weight-system on that..
I bet there will be a ton off drivers out there that will want to get more weight lower on their crawlers without dlux tungsten weights

Mine are going on Wraith knuckles.
Should be simple to modify the knuckle to fit the hangers.
I'll post up when I do.

Rob, thanks for the JRs. Blue Raspberry is the bomb.

So I been scoping these out trying to figure out for a few hours how to mount them to Wraith knuckles.
Then I held them next to my set of RCBros weight hangers..........duh.
They look like a perfect fit, with clockable adjustment.
I'll probably test it out after my Sunday morning crawling sesh.

No problem

Interested to see how they come out doing that. Never even looked at using the RCBros ones. hhmmmmm

Well I don't know if you can get more perfect than that.

I used the spacers and fasteners supplied for a trial fit. I didn't have to change anything else for back space. My tall skinny VooDoos will not fold it the weights.

Can't beat this combo. Krazed Heavy Hangers mounted with RCBros Wraith knuckle plates.................DONE.

Thats awesome - Thank you for posting that.

Now I got some playing to do with my XR "thumbsup"

I put these out of stock since it seems Derby Monkey has decided to stop making their slugs.

I am though working with Pinewood Pro to see about getting some of theirs for our store to make ordering easier. I am also changing the size of the holes to accept these as a change.

This way you can always order direct through them, pinewoodpro.com, also and get them.

We apologize for any inconvenience but look forward to having them back in a short time.

Thanks

Sorry for the delay on these but more are IN Stock again!

Thank you all for the support on this product line - We greatly apprecaite it!

In Stock "thumbsup"

We dont see us doing another batch so once they are gone they will be discontinued. We greatly appreciate all the support and are clearing some space for new products.
