Las Cruces/El Paso Comp Dates and Club

Ok we have been given the ok from Albuquerque/Farmington to hold our own comp down here without having to travel once a month to there GTG.

We will be starting a RCCrawler club which will be decided on the first comp date, fees and point system will also be discussed that day.

Brett Jordan will be handling all of the score.
Jorge Valadez will set up locations, courses and gate markers.
We need someone to take pictures.

The dates are as follow:

1st Comp January 17, 2010 Locations: Team VALADEZ Hobbies
2nd Comp February 21, 2010 Utep Behind Don Haskin
3rd Comp March 14, 2010 Little Moab
4th Comp April 4, 2010 Transmountain
5th Comp April 25, 2010 Las Cruces (TBD)
6th Comp May 16, 2010 Utep Stadium Area
7th Comp May 30, 2010 TBD



All comps will be on sundays, and start time will be 9am.

I will say my words on this subject in public this once, and I am done. I will also PM this to you and hope you respond to me there so we can keep this thread clean.

I set that event up, and asked for advice and set rules AT THE BEGINNING OF THE EVENT. I was not in charge of the score sheet or adding scores when your 1point mistake was discovered. It was also WELL before my run occured for the day.

I asked all competitors to judge my run to make it as fair as possible. 10 sets of eyes will surely catch more than my one set calling points, so I bet I was judged harder than you were. Nobody had any objections except you and your homeboy, BOTH of whom were not around to judge my run. You two were busy attempting to PRERUN the bonus courses of which I had specifically called out as unfair; should have DQ'd you then.

Scores came in, and I managed to be 1 point ahead. I have no reason to cheat, and DON'T!!

Besides, even if you wanted to compete, I don't think you will have the $5 per event it is likely going to cost to compete in this series; that is what you are bitching about in the first place.

Telling others to tell me to be careful on the rocks and to watch my back is VERY childish. At least speak your problems to my face. I am a grown man, please prove that you are too...

Have met many people in this "sport" and would venture to say YOU are the only one that has a problem with me.

PS: How about this... Put Up or Shut Up Event.

You set a course, I set a course. I win, you STFU. You win, I pay the $45 you think you were robbed out of. Want to have LOTS of people there to see this and judge as well.

Brett is speaking the truth I have never seen you at any other event put up in the el paso/las cruces area, or travel to albuqueruque area so please leave the negative and whining out of here, we are try to make this fun. You can always drive up to any other club events and participate there.


This goes for everyone, please bring it up in a PM if it does not get resolved then post a new thread and don't ruin it for everyone else, because of one sour orange it ruins for everyone else.

I will see everyone at the first comp, and anyone needing practice the store course will be open between now and the first comp without a usage fee. So get those crawlers dialed.

El Paso get to Crawlin we will get to Worlds this Year.

Last thing I will be posting a poll for the club name tonite at 8pm. so please text, pm, or respond here so that I can post them.

screw pm's i have nothing to hide. basically here is the deal. i dont care about the $45 that was up for grabs that day. in fact brett, you and i had never had an issue before that day. correct? in fact we had crawled together on multiple occations prior to the jackpot. we got along pretty well to my understanding. the issue i have is the fact that after your run (but before the bonus lines) you and i were tied at 8. the closest guy to us had like 15 or more points. so it was between you and me. but then, just before the bonus lines were ran (which i was not pre running) you had the score sheet and blue pen in your hands. and then all of the sudden i had 9 points and you had 8. and as for this mano y mano grudge match.... honestly dude i just dont have the time. you can say im pussing out or what ever. i have a family to take care of and a little one on the way. so rc is not my 1st priority, and YOU are definately not a priority. also as for saying " you need to watch your back", i really have no comment for that except for the fact that i didnt say anything like that. if i had, had a real problem that i felt needed to be dealt with in a physcial manner i would have let you know.

do i feel cheated? yes. do i think you changed the score? yes. do i think that there was someone else involved besides yourself? damn right. i think everyone has seen the you and your need to win in comps. i have heard through the grapevine that you threw a huge fit up in alb. when you didnt place 1st. but thats just hearsay, i wasn't there to witness this said break down.

so basically it comes down to this: i wish that this whole deal had never happened. i wish that i had never entered that jackpot, just due to the fact that it ruined comp-ing for me. i had a lot of fun up until the end of the crawl. shoot, maybe i am crazy and i didnt see you with the score sheet. but i feel like some shady stuff went down and you were involved. i think in the end of that deal that day, you and jorge (being the guys pretty much in charge of the event) should have split the winnings between you and myself. (which was more than $45 btw... there was a gift card to team valdez if im not mistaken) i think that would have been fair, especially since you knew how i felt about your score before i left that day. you could have easily come up to me and explained the scores and yourself. i didnt go down and judge you because i trusted you, and just for the record i had about 6 people including you and jorge watching my run.

so there it is, everything is out there. take it how you want. personally i think the southern new mexico or what ever chapter is losing out on not having me join. basically just because i think i could work most of the guys here down south. i cant speak for the alb, and farmington guys cuz i have never crawled with them. big words i know... let the shit talk begin.

anyway, good luck to the rest of you. don't be surprised if ol' brett comes out on top at the end of the day... i guess i need to go buy some skill on ebay too.

!wow! thread jacked , doesnt suprise me someone coming in here trying to ruin something good that is getting started here, hey 85toycrawler if you say you crawl as good as you do how about running the series and walk the walk man, here's an idea i think jorge and brett would even agree on is even letting somebody else beside brett score you at all the comps, that can even be me i have scored comps before , besides it takes another person to call too, 85toycrawler i dont have anything against you not trying to talk shit but i surely wouldnt pass up an opportunity to goto state that can lead to world finals"thumbsup" i believe we have 5 spots for state as well

If we are losing out so much by not having you compete, come on out. I will pay your entry for the series. It clearly is not about the $$ involved for me. You then compete in the required 5 of 7 events. See where you come out. No shit talking from me until final results are in at the end of the season. I WILL NOT BE SCORING YOU. Somebody else from the club will have to step up for that.

ok, so after having a night to think about all this. i have to say sorry for the thread jack and sorry to brett for calling you out in public like this. it should have been done in person A LONG TIME AGO. not like this probably over a year later. with that said. let me see how the next month goes and where i am with my business. now that i have had time to think about it, i would be willing to join up and let this set of points end this bs. brett you would not have to pay my entry fees, i have no issue with paying them. and as for you scoring me, i can take it or leave it. whatever you feel comfortable with. also i would like to apologize to everyone else, i just read what i wrote about being better than everyone else... pretty much made me sound like a complete D-BAG. but to be honest, with the guys we crawled with at the jackpot brett is my closest comp.

apparently you didnt read the whole thread before posting. so let me fill you in.. in the very post above yours i apologized and dropped the whole deal... i even called my self a huge d-bag... is that good enough for you?

The start gates are BOTH live and worth 10 pts. each, trust me I got one at our last comp.

There was a single point in question that was awarded as a progress point on the start gate, not a gate penalty.

Ex. 9 progress points were awarded on an 8 gate course.

BUT, this all seems to be taken care of. Hope to see all you out here in the Southwest come join us for crawling after the new year!
