leaf spring bushing removal

You specifically said fronts. I was adding that rears have slip in bushings too.



79-85 Front toyota mini truck springs have loose bushings but rear springs from 86 on up have sleeves vulcanized to them.



No I didn't specifically mention that pre 86 rears had loose bushings, I inferred it. My bad for expecting the readers to have a better grasp of the English language than the average chia pet. :lol:
 
I JUST did a set 2 nights ago... Took them outside, set a Mapp torch on the bushing until they caught fire. Proceeded to walk away until the rubber burnt enough that it was mostly gone. Then took a cutting tip on the end of the air hammer to the out steel. Let them cool, inserted poly bushings and reinstalled.
