Leaf sprung frame help needed

I want to do a scale rig of my YJ Wrangler using the Tamiya body. The big problem is finding the right frame. The RC4WD Fracture and Trail Finder 2 frames are too long. I know there used to be a "Jeep edition" frame but I have yet to find one anywhere (appears to have been discontinued). This is going to be an exact scale build (even down to using the K44 "off-center diff" front axle), and true to the Jeep YJ it will be mirroring...coil springs have NO PLACE on this rig. I love the look and setup of the Trail Finder 2 but I haven't read or heard of anyone chopping the frame to the appropriate length. Any suggestions?

people cut the frames all the time. alternately you could build (or have built) custom frame rails to meet your specs and needs. SCX-10 rails are another cheaper option.

I'm also building a YJ, I made my frame rails from 1/2" square steel tubing, bent with my Map torch and vice, split with a hacksaw (took FOREVER:ror:). You can then use the Axial frame brace set for your cross members and trans mount, TF2 shackle kit and your good to go...just an idea...:ror:
